Where is the gas cap on a 68 Chevy Impala

Older vehicles such as the Impala, the gas fill was behind the rear License plate bracket which is hinged.

The 69 Impala's gas cap was NOT behind the license plate... it was behind a small hinged door just to the left of the license plate.
