1963 Impala--I need some ideas for mounting 3 point seat belts into my 63?

Asked by 63impala Jan 02, 2007 at 09:40 PM about the 1963 Chevrolet Impala

Question type: Car Customization

i want to make the car safe but i dont want the shoulder strap to stretch from the front seats all the way back past the rear seats.  That wouldnt look good.  Ive been thinking that i might be able to have 3 point seat belts in the front if i bolt the shoulder strap to the bottom metal part of the seat and have it come up from the back of the seat.  It seams sturdy, but i need some more insight before i install them.  Thank you.

63, you need professional help on this one! I scanned the web for seat belt makers in hopes they can fabricate a solution that will keep your terrific 63 Impala looking great. I'm guessing a phone call to either of these companies will spark lots of ideas for you and most likely offer a few solutions ... Here's Wesco performance in Carmillo, Ca.. If you prefer the toll-free phone it's (888)738-5970 http://www.wescoperformance.com/seat-belts-sitemap.html Here's Julianos on the other coast in Vernon, CT (800)300-1932 http://www.julianos.com/
