Dear smurphy-- Hey dude, the best advice I can give you is to go to the following site for a short tutorial on what you will have to do to replace the stereo in your 1987 Honda Prelude-- http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/cat/-13089/edOid/105531/rpem/ccd/lookLearn.do. unscrew face plate around sterio and heater controls, exct,remove screws holding sterio inplace, i think there are four its pritty hard to mess it up
