I have a Honda CRV 2004 model. I asked someone to paint the calipers. I don't know what they did. Now the brakes are gone. I have tried changing the master cylinder, or bypassing it but nothing. Am in need of a way to sort out this problem. Please.

Someone took the system apart and created a DISASTER! OK you can NOT by-pass a master cylinder it's what applies the hydraulic pressure to the system causing the brakes to slow / stop the car. Make sure its not empty remove the cover and inspect the fluid reservoir. If there's fluid in it check the paint job I mean the calipers for signs of brake fluid or leaking.. IF dry not to bad! inspect for the brake pads being in position and fitted correctly to the rotors wow!..OR take it in and have it repaired, IF you don't know vehicle systems! THAT'S THE SAFE THING TO DO. Regards

If they removed the calipers to paint them could be they did not bleed the system which means there is air in the system. Air compresses and fluid does not. If you don't know anything about bleeding get hold of someone that knows how.
