think i may have a tranny problem?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

first start off goes to 1st 2nd. and then rpms goes high and hesitates to go to 3rd and 4th. into overdrive. it wont go into reverse either. im running out of options im not selling my truck. i love it but i want it fixed. in order for it to drive kinda good i have to manually shift it. its a automatic any ideas or advice for me.

The clutches are worn out. Best bet is a rebuild or an exchange of a refurbished tranny. Check around and make sure the shop you select has a good reputation.

agreed with other poster,another option is to get one fron a salvage yard.
