Malibu- A buddy of mine who has a 1988 Ford Bronco II says curb weight is 3385 pounds. But he wears a 40 inch belt and swears he weighs 165 pounds. Should we believe him? Can anyone help us and see if he is telling the proof.

that weight is pretty close to correct. it depends on what options you have on yours, but yeah that's right.
