Charging system failure

Asked by MrMcRealty Jan 10, 2017 at 02:15 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I disconnected my radio to repair the heat. The car
still started and ran when interconnected the radio,
I connected the wrong 2 plugs. I connected the info
display plug to the radio and vice versa. Now the
car won't start. It clicks, and says charging system
failure.

The clicking is probably the starter solenoid. I think your battery is weak. Try jump starting the car but also clean and tighten your battery connections.
