Continuous knocking that is related directly to the AC.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My AC cools the car well.  Problem is there a constant knocking that only goes
away when I press and hold the "recalculate" cabin air for maximum results.
The button will not stay depressed.  When I do press the green light comes on
and knocking stops.  If I let go the knocking starts.  Switch?

You are probably referring to the "recirculate" button. Does changing the fan speed change the "knocking" noise?

Correct I am referring to the Recirculate button. "auto correct" sorry, No it does not change with the fan speed. Just a steady beat. I watched the supplied link. I am sure that is the problem. The only other question is the switch. The switch will not remain depressed like it shows in the video. I may have to problems. Unless the switch remaining depressed "ON" position is dependent on a healthy actuator
