How do you swap a manual transmission into a nissan 240sx that has an automatic?

I have a 1993 Nissan 240sx. Its an automatic, but i would much rather have it as a stick shift. I know that its possible to swap a manual in its place, but i'm just wondering how difficicult it is and whether its really worth while.
