If there is a broken censor on my car could that b the reason its draining the battery?

No, not likely, it's probly a light left on, either on the dash or somewhere else in the like headlights corner lights dome lights or a bad switch which keeps lights such as under hood in glove box or in trunk turned on. I've never heard of a bad or broken sensor draining a battery.
