I have the same problem this this past weekend. I have a 2017 Kia Sportage. Called my service advisor and was informed there's a little hole right above the radio button. You stick a pin in that hole and it resets the UVO in my clock and date came back.

I went to the dealership and they said it was a nation wide problem and at the time did not have a quick fix and wanted me to bring it in Thursday when there were more techs on duty and that will give them time to find a solution.

I too went into the dealer. Said I was the 6th person to complain. ( I have a 2016 Sorento). Scheduled me for an appt. I hope the satellite is fixed my then.

Thanks Guru199CH, reseting the UVO fixed the problem for me.

Yes, the dealership said a GPS satellite glitch caused the fault and indicated it would correct itself when KIA fixed the issue. However, the glitch is corrected, but because the glitch disabled the clock in the computer, it will not restore until you manually reset the system in the car.

I tried manually resetting the UVO in my 2017 Sportage and my clock is still not working. Amy other ideas to reset it?

Manually reset the UVO while the car is running and the radio is on. Just did it to my 2017 Kia Sportage and it's back to working properly.

Call Kia customer support. They will tell you to make sure you car is outside and running. Then remove the map sm card and press the reset button on the dash. You will need a paper clip to do this. It worked for me.

I did not have to remove the SM card. I just used a paper clip and put it in the little hole above map in my 2016 Kia Sorento. The date/time came back on after I started driving.

Remember to remove the SD card, press the restart with the pin, let the audio finish, then insert the SD cart to restart the UVO.

Thanks for all who input. I had to remove SD card on my 2017 Niro with power off, then reinsert with car running and it reboot fine and finally a time.

So my 16 Sorento SX stopped working over a week ago now. I've taken the sd card out, reset button repeatedly, and disconnected the battery. Any other suggestions?? My car is out of warranty so of course they want to charge me for their glitch to fix it!! Do you all have the navigation as well?

I tried various fixes recommended, pulling multi-media fuse, removing SD card and the reset button. Finally after the 3rd time I of trying the reset button my clock is back.
