Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I talked to the subaru dealer
and since my 2016 is out of
warranty and there have been
several problems with this
car (scream) Subaru was
aware of the problem they
have received  aTSB
technical service
bulletin...directly about this
issue. But kept customers in
the  dark..highly unfair. NOW
there is no charge for this
repair even if your vehicle is
out of warranty because of
this TSB. They didn't tell
customers ..frankly it's all
about the money. Anyway i
go monday to get this fixed 1
1/2 hours hooray for me

Tried looking for the TSB — can anyone tell me the TSB # for this issue? Subaru dealer told me it would cost around $300 plus part and 4 hours to fix. Car only has 25,400 miles. NOT PLEASED!

I just had SOA authorize a total cost replacement for this problem. Now, I did have to call them three times until they got it worked out, at first they offered a $350 discount while the repair cost was to be about $600. It takes a bit of patience, and persistence. Be kind! Thank you to SOA. My 2016 Subaru Outback was a few months past warranty...

My wife bought out daughter's lease on 2016 Forester. Since then she's had drained battery episodes multiple times (as well as key-sticking) and had to have AAA jump-start and replace battery mid-2020. Today, no batt power at all after 5 days undriven with key lock appt. tomorrow at Miller Subaru Boise, ID. Battery charger (even on instant start) had no effect.at all. After successfully jump-starting from fully charged battery I noticed the AC was still on and am wondering if, after the engine is stopped and key removed, the magnetic clutch remains energized? That would explain rapid complete discharge and ineffectiveness of chargers to restart system. Dual batteries w/selector switches anybody?
