service 4 wheel drive

My 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee service 4 wheel drive light came on while
driving it. It has been a few weeks since it's been on. Jeep drives perfectly fine
there is no sounds coming from transfer case that i can here. Dealer quoted me
2600 with out checking it.
