Question type: General

I have a 2013 Subaru Outback that has push button start. Seems my battery is
dead and the key fob will not unlock the car - Need to unlock the car so to pop

Next time purchase an AGM battery or even better get a spiral cell battery....they last much longer than ordinary batteries.... Overall, four years is the optimal time for most batteries.. beyond that you're on borrowed time.. make sure you have your AAA card handy.
