Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently changed the camshaft sensor on my 2012
Nissan Sentra, after coming home and letting it sit for a
while, it didn’t want to start, it took me several tries, what
could be the problem?

The service engine light was on.. the code I got was p0340 which is the cam sensor, so I changed the sensor and cleared the codes. Drove it home and it was fine, engine light is still off, but after I let it sit for a couple hours, it didn’t want to start. After a couple tries, it finally turned.

I have a 2009 Nissan Sentra 2.0 and have the issue and same error code. Bought the part and put it in and it didn't work. We then purchased the same part from another location and this time the car started with no issues, but the service engine light was still one. Once I cleared it the car wouldn't start. 3rd part later still the same issue. I ran a search and apparently there are many Nissan's having the same issue and they claim no recall. https://repairpal.com/nissian-crankshaft-and-camshaft-sensor-recall-492 Good luck. I also posted a question to see if I can get assistance. My user name is GuruNTJVP to see my question.
