i have a 1991 honda civic i have the dome light set to come on when i open the door well it does but the problem is when all the doors are shut the door dash light comes on but goes off when you open the door i checked all the switches cleaned the ground even put washers to try an make a better connection . but the door dash light stays on with the doors shut an goes off when the doors open. it cant be wired backwards because there only one wire that goes to the door switch an its a neg. green with red marked wire.....help!!!

My honda civic lx 97 cuts off a lights and stop signs but cranks back up with no problem its a automatic,also when I press the gas the rpm goes up to like 4 and stays for a second then it finally sounds like it caught the shift and goes back down but does it all over again when having to accelerate its like has no get up and go power it takes it a minute.what could be my problem? 1 Answer

About 3 weeks ago I went to start up my 2009 Honda Civic Sedan lx and lights came on and everything but wouldn't start. On the third time trying to start it none of the lights came on, so I changed the battery. I tried starting it with the new battery, all lights came on perfectly, but it wouldn't turn over. I changed the starter and the car ran fine with no problems for maybe 2 weeks. This morning I was driving down the road when the check engine light came on and the engine suddenly started to rev up uncontrollably. I was able to brake but it was very hard to do because the engine kept revving. Without my foot on the brake the car was going 30 something mph, when I braked and got below 15 I felt a hard downshift. Has anyone had these simliar problems or know what might have cause this kind of behavior? 3 Answers
