Umm...Don't you have a spare key?? Usually cars/trucks are sold with TWO keys/fobs. You may have get a new one from a Dodge Dealer..or maybe learn how to hotwire that sucker!!

Locksmith. Or Dealer. Sorry, if you have no spare key, the Dealer may be able to make one for you by your VIN#, or even better the key number itself that comes with the keys and fob, stamped on a small piece of steel when the car is new. Or a locksmith can make a key and not have to change the ignition switch or door locks, It is only relatively recently locksmiths have been able to do this, make and program a key.

Not going to hot wire a 99 Durango. has a fuel shut off anti theft Racer. Not to mention you will in all likelihood get an air bag in the face when you try

I was just joking about hotwiring the Durango @ David. That's just NOT a viable option, unless you're a seasoned car thief, IMO.

I kinda figure you were Racer...but just in case somebody gets an idea...well don't

Go to the Dealer with you VIN number and have it made, that is the only way.

We only have one key and no access to it. We called the dealer to get a new key and they said they could get us one but it wouldn't start the car. now what?

Dealer wants 160.00 for 1 keyand 89.00 for programming. Pop a Lock will program for less and the keys are available for 30.00 each from Google, Amazon, and Ebay, etc. Recommend that you buy new rubber for old keys for 6.00 and use electronics from newkey in old key to avoid recutting a key and avoid inferrior key material..
