Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn it on it will idle great in
park but when I put it in gear the idle
like slows down and sounds like it's
choking. When I try to go it will rev
up, but doesn't start moving very
fast! Also when I do try to go it will
die every now and then! Please help

Have you checked all the vacuum lines in the engine compartment.? There should be a diagram for the vacuum system under the hood.I would check the vacuum advance on the distributor and maybe remove the dist. cap to see if the armature inside moves freely. You can apply vacuum with a hand pump with engine off and cap removed and see if the diaphragm holds pressure and if the armature moves freely. Also check or replace (cheap) your fuel filter.

Could that be described as weak idle quality ? Fuel delivery problem. Base timing or advance mechanism? Must ask, what distributor are you using?
