77 cj5 308 v8 dies when driving

My jeep dies while driving I take fuel filter off and reinstall and it fires right up
and runs for a day or two till dies again

Is the filter full of junk? What kind of junk? If so you may have rust or water or dirt in your fuel tank. If that it the case then it should be cleaned out or replaced if badly rusty.

Check the fuel tank vent. If it is kinked or blocked it could be your problem.
