Hi Guys;  Brake Repair procedures indicate that you require a brake drum puller.  Please explain the need for the puller. (very expensive tool)  Are you not able to back off the shoes, remove brgs, and remove the drum ???

A proper wheel puller is necessary because the hub of the rear brake drum is splined to the axle shaft. After a period of time these splines rust enough to freeze the drum to the axle. The proper puller uses the wheel lugs as the attachment point therfore it won't warp or break the drum. Don't try to use a puller that grabs the rim of the drum, as this will ruin the drum. Good luck with it.
