White smoke

OK I just recently purchased a Chrysler 300M with
175k on dash.  Rebuilt engine  and salvaged title.
I'm getting  very little white smoke and check
engine light and slight rocking when car is in park.  
Not too much of a scare for me but I'm worried it
will progress.  Should I be worried,  please help.  
Thanks oh another thing, the car rides very well
and engine strong even under those conditions but
I'm not touching it now until I know for sure what
my next move is.  Thank you

Are you saying the check engine light is on? Best thing to do is get it scanned for any codes. Probably point you in the direction of why the engine is rocking.

The white smoke is coolant being burned in the combustion chamber. When the engine is cold remove radiator cap and start engine look for bubbles in the coolant recovery tank. You will have to watch for a while as the engine warms up. You should see absolutely now bubbles. Bubbles mean either or both a cracked head or head gaskets. Do not run engine if this is the case because coolant in the oil will damage the bearings and the internals of the engine.

There would be a continuous stream of white smoke that would have a sweet smell to it, threw the exhaust if it were a bad head gasket or cracked head.
