The 3800 Series 2 V^ has a 9.4 compression ratio. I've always heard that you use higher octane to prevent pinging or pre-ignition. I have always used 87 cotane in it but would the engine be better off wth 89 or even 91-93 octane?
So I recently started having issues with my car it's a 2000 Chevy impala with a 3.8 motor it cranks but it won't start. I replaced the fuel pump 2x and the fuel filter once and the fuel pressure regulator and at times it start but it spudders than turns off when I press on accelerator or it just wont start at all ...I'm running out of options can you guys help
