The passenger-side airbag is introduced in 1993, giving the consumer, in addition to a comfortable and spacious cab, the comfort of driving in a safe vehicle. Customer opinion is still very high for this vehicle while J. D. Power provides a 4 out of 5 rating for mechanical items such as engine, transmission, steering, etc. As for interior comfort such as seats, heater-A/C, stereo and door locks, the J. D. Power rating is 5. Where else can one find this dependability for around $5,000? (Hmmm...I would tend to disagree with you...)

There's nothing too great or too terrible about this vehicle. I love her! When she finally does quit, I will definitely cry. This car was a great price, and the fuel economy makes it so she's basically buying herself! I'm now a Honda fan!Mar 16, 2014

It's old and I need an update. It's super reliable, needs studded tires in deep snow or slush.
Plenty of power and mine is a 5 speed so it is more sporting to drive. I would def recommend it to someone.Apr 07, 2013

The look of this car is classic 90's with the boxy body and old school headlights and the interior matches this older style. My accord is fully loaded with working A/C power locks and power windows, cruise control and auto. Everything is working exceptionally well. The visibility from the drivers seat is superb and makes for easy parking and lane changes. Fuel consumption is modest and exceeds expectations on highway commutes. This is a fun car to drive, handles well and breaks well. I would recommend this car as a great safe daily driver!Feb 14, 2013

This is the second 93 accord that i have own they are really nice cars for a small family and pretty realiable. Mine has three hundred thousand miles on it so there is small things that go wrong but the motor and tranny which is original to the car are very strong. Even with that many miles on it i still get 33 mpg's which is competitive with bran new cars Oct 06, 2011

Out of the gate the appearance for the year us stylish and has very roomie cabin area. Besides this being the first show/play car i lacks power to perform. With a vtec motor and some minor changes this car can overcome any nay sayers and will turn heads.Aug 07, 2011

The acceleration is adequate but nothing special. Honda built it strong which is why it has lasted so many years. It was designed well for its generation. It is efficient on fuel so maintaining the cost is low. I wouldn't say it is "fun" to drive but it definitely gets you to point "A" to point "B" economically! Jul 13, 2011

It was a decent sized car-plus my first grown up car without a giant stupid exhaust....lol. It was Rosewood with a burgundy interior and a dash mounted Motorola Carphone....very quiet and smooth with a silky smooth manual transmission. Oct 22, 2010

Good: Handles well, decent gas mileage, quiet ride, great throttle response.
Bad: Old model, frequent repairs needed (mostly including brakes), sound system not up to par (left back speaker blown out, very hard to hear overall, needs to turn up to near full volume.)Aug 27, 2010

Bought this car for $250, so far I have put $300 in repairs and have an estimated $400-$500 more. I like how this car looks and its pretty peppy to drive. Honda definitely makes a good car. I may have more to add after owning for a little longer.Jan 02, 2010

This is the greatest car ever. Such great acceleration, I can go 110 in this thing as if it was nothing. It is cheap to maintain, and such a freaking blast to drive! The braking is great, I can handle turns like no other. The engineering in this car was magnificent. This car is also known as the CB7 generation accord. It is great on gas, yet it gives you the power of the honda engine. Torque, my goodness the torque!!Oct 03, 2009

Performance- It wasn't exactly what I'd call quick, but it was a lot of fun to drive. It took corners like a champ, excellent steering feel, but the transmission was jerky like most Honda autos. The brakes were also kinda weak, too. But I guess that's what happens when you don't get the awesome 5-speed Honda transmission. I wouldn't describe this car as soulless. You know, like a Camry.
Build Quality- Like any other Honda, it's great. I LOVED the interior. It was so comfortable, it was held together very well, and I just loved the red. You don't see shag-a-dellic interiors like that anymore. There was nothing hanging off or rattling around except for the almost useless cupholder. Mechanically, the car was rock solid. Not one hiccup. The only thing that annoyed me was when you start it up cold and put it in Drive, you have to STAND on the brakes to keep it still because it idles high. Apparently, this is common with Accords of this vintage.
Appearance- As I've already said, the interior is great. But the exterior was very handsome. My particular Accord had dings, dents, scratches, marks and all that good stuff on EVERY panel, and the normal 3/4 panel rot like on every '90s Honda around here, but the styling itself is handsome. I miss the old Honda design language--simple, understated, but very handsome. Their cars from the '90s have aged very well. The '90-'93 Accords are my second favorite Accords (No. 1 favorite is the '06-'07).
Cost of Ownership- I've only had it for a few months, which were in the winter, so the gas mileage sucked. I topped out with 23 MPG combined, and bottomed out at 19. Again, it's the price you pay for not getting the beautifully-engineered Honda 5-speed. But other than that, it was flawless.
Fun to drive? Oh yeah. It would have been even more fun if it were a standard though. But, hey, I got it for $500 and it was my first car.Sep 02, 2009

Understated beauty when well taken care of and not riced out. Build and layout is typically Honda. Easy to operate, very thought well thought out. although only an i4, it is pretty fun to drive. This car has seen it all!Jul 07, 2009

Amazing, and fun despite being over 15 years old. Engine purrs like a kitten just from proper maintenance. Honda cars and engines last forever. Its a great learning car that I would never go and throw away. I do wish I had a new one though.May 29, 2009

The performance is great, it's perfectly aligned, the
engine is quiet but strong, and it always starts up.
It has been about average cost, considering it is
sixteen years old. The car is responsive, gets great
gas mileage, is not too shabby on appearance,
although the interior is slowly falling apart due to
age. But nothing important like the headlights, taillights, mirror, etc. has broken. There have been
some engine problems in the past, but those have
been fixed, and now she's as good as new. One last
thing, we have not fixed the hood nozzles yet, but
we will.Mar 06, 2009

The car was good, particularly in the performance department, the thing could pull donuts and drift on about anything considered road. But unfortunately when I got the car the previous owner had ruined the electrical system and the engine, though powerful, sucked to turn on. There were many things missing, such as the radio and Cruise Control. Things had to be turned on and off a certain way which wasn't fun at all. Dec 29, 2008

It is a great car! I have done many repairs to it but it is still great. AC is cold, engine is running like a champ, and it is very comfortable.. I have some bodywork to do to it but it is a solid reliable car that I would recomend to anyone. Jul 24, 2008

Basically my car is semi-awesome. It's not very big but it's got the big Honda engine so it's pretty fast and picks up well. Gas milage is decent and it probably looked pretty nice 15 years ago when it was new, but the now the paint is all faded and stuff like that. It's still pretty decent looking, it has a spoiler and dual-tipped exaust so it still looks sporty, and has a moonroof which is a nice bonus.Jul 08, 2008

When I walked onto the dealer's lot almost eight months ago and saw this beautiful accord, I almost immediately fell in love. The seats were deliciously comfortable in the front and back, the trunk was massive, it had power everything, a CD player, power antenna, ABS, alloy wheels, and a beautiful appearance.
The test drive was flawless, we took it fast around some backroads, tested out the brakes, inspected the CV joints, brake pads, and all under-hood fluids and filters. Everything was in fantastic shape. The brakes were hard and responsive, it accelerated pretty quick, I timed a 0-60 in about 7.6 secs.
All of this with how many miles on the odometer? 186,000. I bought it that day for $3750 and have never regretted my decision to do so since. Now 10,000 miles later, four 600-mile road trips, and a few snorstorms, it's still flawless. These Accords are built like tanks. My mom had a '90 (same style) that served for many years and many miles (well over 200,000)
No one else makes a car like Honda does. Thanks you guys! I love my Accord!Jun 28, 2008

Car is excellent in every way, driving, handling, design etc.
Car has a great engine with a potent kick to it. The 1993 Honda Accord is the LOWEST accord out there, stock. Car has excellent handling, turning, handling at high speeds, the car does not shake like other cars when going 100mph +Jun 26, 2008

We bought this car with eighty-some thousand miles on it to replace a not-yet three year old Mazda B4000 pickup with far fewer miles, and we drove it until it had 130,000 miles on it. It then fetched significantly over the book value.Nov 30, 2007

I have a 93 Honda Accord and having issues with power. The "P" light and the "D4" light will stay on. This has been happening and the d4 light would flash. It would cause very low power, so I learned that when I start the car, make sure the d4 light isn't flashing. If it is, I would turn the car off and then turn the key over to see if it was still flashing before I started it. The problem now is the light isn't flashing, it's staying on. I had to drive home at 30 mph because the transmission wouldn't kick in. After driving 10 miles, it all of a sudden kicked in. This morning, went to leave and the car wouldn't even pull the hill in D4. Had to put it in D2 to get it to go. What do you think is the problem?
Hi. I have a 1993 Honda Accord station wagon. The brake lights ( middle light and both brake lights don't work and horn don't work. I checked with the auto parts store and they dont think its a fuse problem. The brake peddle and connector seem to work fine. The emergency lights work just fine. Does anyone have an idea on what the problem could be?
