The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is muscle truck built on a shortened Ram 1500 platform, competing less against other pickups than against the idea that performance trucks don't exist anymore. It arrives in four variants—Rumble Bee, Rumble Bee 392, Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT—with V8 engine options ranging from 395 to 777 horsepower.

What's New for the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee
The Rumble Bee is a new model built upon the Ram 1500's platform, albeit with notable changes. Ram is reviving the Rumble Bee name, last used in the early 2000s, to launch what it calls a dedicated muscle truck subsegment. The lineup is built on a modified Ram 1500 frame with 13 inches removed between the axles, resulting in an exclusive Quad Cab/short bed configuration that exists nowhere else in the Ram lineup. All four variants are four-wheel drive (4WD) only, with standard V8 power and a full-time active transfer case with a selectable rear-wheel-drive (RWD) mode.
The most headline-grabbing addition is the Rumble Bee SRT, which uses the 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat HEMI V8 carried over from other Stellantis performance vehicles. It makes 777 horsepower, which Ram claims is the most powerful engine ever offered in a production pickup truck. The Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack mark the first time Ram has offered the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 in the 1500 platform, making 470 hp. The entry-level Rumble Bee uses the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, producing 395 hp—still enough to run 0-60 mph in 6.1 seconds.
Design
The Rumble Bee lineup is offered in only one body style: Quad Cab with a 5-foot, 7-inch bed. Ram shortened the frame of a standard 1500 by 13 inches, giving the Rumble Bee a stubbier, more aggressive stance. At 88 inches wide and just over 219 inches long on the base models, the proportions are noticeably different from any other Ram 1500 in the showroom.
Exterior styling changes by trim level. The base Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392 share widebody fenders, body-color fender flares and bumpers, an aggressive front grille, and premium LED lighting front and rear. Standard wheel size is 22 x 10 inches with 285/45R22 all-season tires; a 20 x 10-inch wheel with 305/50R20 tires is listed as late availability.
The Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack and Rumble Bee SRT receive a more aggressive front fascia with functional aerodynamic elements, including a 4.5-inch front splitter, a functional induction hood, and a large rear tailgate spoiler. These two variants ride on unique 22 x 12-inch wheels with 325/40R22 all-season tires. Optional bedside graphics are available across all variants. Color options include Detonator Yellow, Molten Red, and Ceramic Gray, among others.
Powertrain
The base Rumble Bee uses the 5.7-liter HEMI V8, producing 395 hp at 5,600 rpm and 410 pound-feet of torque at 3,950 rpm. It runs through a TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission with a 3.92 axle ratio. Ram claims a 0-60 mph time of 6.1 seconds and a quarter mile of 14.6 seconds at 93 mph. Towing capacity tops out at 8,890 pounds with 1,150 pounds of payload.
The Rumble Bee 392 and 392 Track Pack step up to the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 (the first time Ram has used this engine in the 1500) making 470 hp at 6,000 rpm and 455 lb-ft at 4,200 rpm, also paired with the same eight-speed automatic transmission as the base Rumble Bee. Ram quotes 0-60 in 5.2 seconds and a quarter mile of 13.2 seconds at 101 mph. The Track Pack adds the standard Bilstein Damptronic Sky air suspension with semi-active damping and an E-spool electronic locking differential.
At the top of the lineup, the Rumble Bee SRT uses the Hellcat engine, a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V-8 producing 777 hp at 6,500 rpm and 680 lb-ft at 4,800 rpm. It pairs with the heavier-duty 8HP95 eight-speed automatic and a 3.55 axle ratio. Ram targets 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph, and a top speed of 170 mph. The SRT also carries an E-spool electronic locking differential as standard and uses an entirely new cooling system developed specifically for track use. EPA fuel economy figures are not yet available for any variant as of this writing.
All Rumble Bee variants employ a 4x4 drivetrain with a full-time active transfer case offering 2WD (rear), 4WD High, and 4WD Auto modes. A dedicated RWD button on the console disconnects the front axle. The Rumble Bee and Rumble Bee 392 come with standard coil suspension front and rear; the Track Pack and SRT receive four-corner air suspension with active damping as standard.
Interior
The Rumble Bee is available only as a Quad Cab with 2+3 seating. Front headroom measures 40.9 inches and front legroom is 40.9 inches; the rear offers 39.2 inches of headroom and 35.3 inches of legroom, which is usable but not generous for a full-size truck. The short bed measures 67.4 inches at the floor with 51 inches between the wheelhouses, and 53.8 cubic feet of SAE cargo volume. We've seen the Rumble Bee in person and can attest that, while the front seat is fine, the rear seat feels as cramped for adults as a typical midsize pickup truck.
Interior appointments escalate with each trim level. The base Rumble Bee receives manually operated cloth bucket seats with a flat-bottom steering wheel, aluminum paddle shifters, and a G/T console shifter. The Rumble Bee 392 adds a 10-way power cloth driver's seat and Prowler Yellow accent stitching. The 392 Track Pack moves to 12-way power leather and suede bucket seats with increased bolstering and matching rear-seat accents. The Rumble Bee SRT tops the range with Natura Plus leather and suede power buckets, carbon fiber trim, a suede headliner, metal pedals, and Desert Orange stitching throughout.
All variants feature a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with unique Rumble Bee startup graphics, a flat-bottom performance steering wheel, and a G/T console shifter.

Technology
The Uconnect infotainment system's screen size increases with each trim level. The base Rumble Bee gets an 8.4-inch Uconnect display; the Rumble Bee 392 and Track Pack move to a 12-inch portrait-style Uconnect 5 screen; the SRT gets a 14.5-inch screen. All variants include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 12- and 14.5-inch screens support split-screen operation and drag-and-drop menu customization.
Audio systems follow the same progression: a six-speaker base system on the Rumble Bee, a 10-speaker Alpine system on the 392 and Track Pack, and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system with a 10-inch subwoofer and 12-channel Class-D amplifier on the SRT—the first time Ram has fit 19 speakers into the Quad Cab configuration.
A head-up display (HUD) is available on the Rumble Bee 392 as part of the optional Advanced Technology Group, and it comes standard on the SRT. A digital rearview mirror with tow mode is also available on the 392 and standard on the SRT. Performance Pages software with real-time data including 0-60 timers, g-force readouts, and engine performance is available across the lineup and can export data to a USB drive.
Safety
Lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with trailer coverage, and front and rear parking sensors and revese automatic emergency braking are standard across all Rumble Bee variants. A reversing camera with dynamic gridlines is also standard on all trims.
Additional driver-assistance features are available through option packages on lower trims and become standard on the Track Pack and SRT. These include driver monitoring, evasive steering assist, interestion collision warning, traffic sign recognition, hands-on active driving assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. Autonomous parallel and perpendicular park assist is part of the Advanced Safety Group, which is optional on the Rumble Bee 392, standard on the Track Pack, and standard on the SRT.
IIHS and NHTSA crash test ratings are not yet available as of this writing, as the Rumble Bee is strucurally different from the regular Ram 1500.

Pricing and Release Date
As of this writing, Ram has not released official pricing for the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee lineup. The base Rumble Bee with the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is scheduled to launch with availability beginning late 2026; the Rumble Bee 392, 392 Track Pack, and Rumble Bee SRT are expected to arrive in the first half of 2027.
Given the performance positioning and exclusive equipment on each variant—particularly the SRT's 777-hp Hellcat powertrain, air suspension, Brembo brakes, and Harman Kardon audio—pricing is expected to span a wide range. Buyers interested in the entry-level Rumble Bee may want to note that several comfort and convenience features (heated seats, wireless charging, passive entry) are grouped into the optional Convenience Group rather than offered as standard equipment. This page will be updated when pricing is confirmed.
