The 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C (Sport Cabriolet) is a two-seat sports car that combines serious driver engagement with top-down motoring. It’s the only 2027 911 announced so far, but expect the rest of the lineup to return. It takes on the likes of the Mercedes-AMG GT, the Bentley Continental, the McLaren Artura Spyder, and the Maserati MC20 Spyder.

What’s New for the 2027 Porsche 911
The Porsche 911 GT3 S/C is new for 2027 and marks the first time the GT3 model has been offered as a convertible. The GT3 is the brand’s most engaging naturally aspirated model, and the S/C aims to improve on that with lightweight components, including carbon-fiber-reinforced body panels, including carbon-ceramic brakes, plus a carbon-fiber rear anti-roll bar, connecting links, and rear underbody panel. The interior also features weight-saving carpets and door panels, and the lack of a rear seat further reduces weight.
Design
The GT3 S/C carries the same basic shape the 911 has worn since it debuted in 1964. It’s low and wide, with rounded body panels, circular matrix LED headlights, a low-set nose, larger front air intakes than most other 911s, the front lip spoiler and rear diffuser from the standard 911 GT3, and wide haunches that make it look like a big cat ready to pounce. The S/C uses the carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic hood, fenders, and doors from the 911 S/T to save weight. It gets a black windshield surround, but body color is an option. It also has black stone chip protection in front of the rear wheels and black side skirts. At the rear, the retractable spoiler has a Gurney flap for extra downforce. Porsche sets it on gold-painted 20-inch and 21-inch center-lock magnesium wheels.
The black power fabric top uses magnesium components for its structure, and can be opened or closed in 12 seconds at up to 37 mph. It also has a power-operated wind deflector. The magnesium components allows Porsche to give the soft top a more coupe-like design than other 911 Cabriolets.
An optional Street Style package adds red Porsche lettering to the car’s flanks, red fender stripes, Slate Grey wheels, Victory Gold brake calipers, black headlights, and body-colored front fascia airblades. Inside, it comes with two-tone Guards Red and Slate Grey upholstery in a checked pattern, extended leather upholstery, extended use of synthetic suede trim, the 18-way seats, an open-pore dark walnut shift knob, and Guards Red seat belts.
Powertrain
The 911 GT3 S/C uses the brand’s free-revving 4.0-liter flat-six that tops out at 9,000 rpm and makes 502 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. It comes only with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Porsche quotes a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 194 mph. EPA fuel economy ratings weren't available at the time of writing, but expect a combined number in the teens.

Interior
The 911 GT3 S/C seats only two (there is no rear seat) and comes standard with leather upholstery and heated sport bucket seats with power height adjustments and manual fore-and-aft adjustments to save weight by avoiding excessive power controls. Also available are seat ventilation, lighter seats with carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic shells, or heavier 18-way power-adjustable seats. Porsche offers an accessory storage box for the rear seat area that holds 2.8 cubic feet of cargo, and the front trunk has 4.8 cubic feet of storage.
Technology
Porsche fits the 911 GT3 S/C with a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.9-inch infotainment touchscreen. Also standard are navigation, a wireless smartphone charger, a satellite radio trial, and 10 years of the Porsche Connect app. A Track Screen display mode puts performance information such as tire pressure, oil, water, and fuel temperatures, and a shift light alongside the central tachometer. A 12-speaker, 570-watt Bose audio system comes standard.
