What’s New for the 2027 Audi S6 e-tron Sportback
Audi updates the S6 e-tron Sportback for 2027 with a new multifunction steering wheel, an available dashcam, an upgraded infotainment interface, the addition of a Dynamic Plus drive mode for sporty driving, and the new Audi Drive Select Assistant that automatically chooses the drive mode based on the conditions and the driver’s style.
Design
The S6 e-tron Sportback takes on a low, rounded, swept-back shape. Up front, an approximation of the Audi single-frame grille resembles the gas car’s grille without the airflow needed for an engine. Eye-slit matrix LED headlights (digital OLEDs on the top Prestige trim) sit at the top corners of the face, with air intakes below. The nose curves into the hood and the greenhouse continues as a single arc all the way back to the rear lip spoiler. The flanks are a bit chunky, so Audi breaks them up with a low-set character line that rises slightly toward the rear wheels, defining a blackened area between it and the lower sills. The rear end is simple, with a full-width taillight and the Audi rings in the center. It all sits on 20-inch alloy wheels with 21s optional. A Black Optic package includes the 21-inch wheels plus black exterior trim and logos.
Powertrain
The S6 e-tron is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) powertrain that puts out 496 horsepower and can rise to 543 hp with launch control. It draws power from a 94.4-kWh lithium-ion battery that gives the car 326 miles of range. It is EPA-rated at 106 MPGe city, 100 MPGe highway, and 103 MPGe combined. The S6 e-tron has an 800-volt electrical architecture that enables DC fast charging at up to 270 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. A 9.6-kW onboard charger allows it to fully charge in 11.5 hours on a Level 2 240-volt outlet. The S6 is not rated to tow and not meant for off-roading.

Interior
The S6 e-tron is well-equipped with power-adjustable front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a power-tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and three-zone automatic climate control. It also has a standard panoramic glass roof with adjustable transparency. The hatchback body style gives the S6 e-tron Sportback good cargo space, though not as much as an SUV. It has 26 cubic feet of space behind the second row. Fold the rear seats down, and that expands to 39.3 cubic feet.
Technology
The S6 e-tron Sportback comes standard with the 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen integrated into a single curved display. It also gets a satellite radio trial and a standard dashcam. The Prestige trim adds a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front passenger and a head-up display with augmented-reality overlays, though these features are optional on the base trim. The audio system is a Bang & Olufsen unit with headrest speakers. Also available is the Experience Worlds feature, which uses interior lighting, sound, seat controls, and climate control to help occupants relax. A Power Nap feature lets drivers take breaks while charging, and occupants can even connect video game controllers to play games offered through the Audi Application Store.
