What’s New for the 2027 Audi A6 Sportback e-tron
Audi’s A6 Sportback e-tron electric midsize sedan is closely related to the Q6 e-tron electric midsize SUV, even if the Q6 and its performance variants get more of the glory. For 2027, both models receive a host of updates that were rolled out to the A5 and the Q5 last year, including updated standard infotainment and newly available safety and comfort features.
Design
Audi made an unorthodox choice to offer the A6 e-tron exclusively as a coupe-style Sportback. It certainly looks sportier than a traditional sedan, with a blacked-out B-pillar and a raked roofline that emphasizes the long nose and stubby trunk lid. It’s nearly as practical, too, with the exception of the sloping roof that may prevent taller passengers from comfortably sitting in the second row. Features include 20-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish, a panoramic glass roof with adjustable opacity, and a palette of five grayscale exterior color options, plus a dark teal option for variety.
Powertrain
The Audi A6 e-tron comes standard with a single-motor powertrain that delivers 375 horsepower, while the optional dual-motor powertrain provides Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system and 456 hp. Audi estimates the single-motor version can travel up to 392 miles on a charge, while the dual-motor is good for 377 miles. In either case, Audi claims the 94.4-kWh battery pack supports Level 3 fast charging, reaching 80% in 21 minutes. The A6 Sportback e-tron is available with an adaptive air suspension system.

Interior
The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron cabin seats five and features standard leather upholstery, heated front seats, aluminum trim, illuminated door sills, ambient lighting, a multifunction steering wheel, and a panoramic glass roof with adjustable opacity. Options include heated rear seats and power soft-closing doors. The power liftgate opens to reveal a maximum of 39.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the second row folded down.
Technology
The infotainment system has been updated for 2027 with a more intuitive, user-friendly menu and improved voice recognition. The A6 Sportback e-tron combines Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument display with an 11.9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Options include a 10.9-inch front passenger display, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, and an augmented reality head-up display.
