What’s New for the 2027 Audi A6
For 2027, the A6 gets a standard heated steering wheel and a surround-view camera system. The Driver Assistance package adds a dashcam, a head-up display, and automatic parking. A new Executive package comes with dual-pane acoustic side glass, a Bang & Olufsen audio system with front headrest speakers, improved LED headlights with digital daytime running lights, a 10.9-inch front passenger touchscreen, and rear sunshades. A new Vorsprung package features air suspension, all-wheel steering, digital OLED taillights, four-zone automatic climate control, heated rear seats, soft-closing doors, automatic and remote parking, rear automatic emergency braking, and a 3D view for the surround-view camera system. A new Air Quality package includes a particulate matter sensor, an ionizer, and an air quality display. Finally, like every other Audi, the A6 now includes three years or 30,000 miles of scheduled maintenance.
Design
The A6 is an attractive sedan. It features clean, curved lines and a modern sedan shape, with a roofline that extends far back toward the rear. Up front, it sports standard LED headlights that squint toward a wide trapezoidal grille with black hexagonal mesh that allows the bumper behind it to show through. Matrix LED headlights are standard on all trims except the base. The flanks are largely free of flourishes, except for slight haunches around the wheels and a rising low-set character line that gives the car a sense of motion. At the rear, thin taillights echo the shape of the headlights and wide exhaust outlets sit at the lower corners below a stylized black panel. The top trim upgrades to digital OLED taillights with a seven-light daytime running light signature. Audi sets it all on standard 19-inch alloy wheels and also offers 20- and 21-inch options. An S Line Black Optic package switches to black exterior trim, and a Sport Plus package lowers the ride height by 0.8 inches and adds red brake calipers.
Powertrain
The A6 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 362 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It sends that power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to all four wheels via Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Audi estimates a 0–60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. EPA fuel economy ratings are not yet available, but the 2027 model is essentially the same as the 2026 model that got 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 23 mpg combined.
Interior
Audi has not yet announced the full equipment list for the 2027 A6, but the 2026 features should carry over, except for the 2027-specific additions. It comes standard with leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, driver’s seat memory, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable steering column, and a panoramic sunroof. Premium Plus trim adds four-zone automatic climate control, while the Prestige gets soft-close doors. Also available are Nappa leather upholstery, additional front-seat adjustments, sport seats, a front-seat massage function, front passenger-seat memory, and blue synthetic suede trim with gold stitching. The A6’s trunk is on the small side for the class with 13.5 cubic feet of cargo space, though split-folding second-row seats expand that space. The trunk lid is power-operated.
Technology
The A6 features Audi’s latest technology suite, which includes an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster called the Digital Cockpit and a 14.5-inch center touchscreen, while a 10.9-inch front passenger touchscreen is optional. The infotainment system can use ChatGPT. Also standard are a satellite radio trial, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Moving up one trim level brings a Bang & Olufsen audio system, and the Prestige adds a 10.9-inch passenger screen and a head-up display with augmented-reality overlays.
