The Audi Q4 e-tron is the German automaker’s entry point into its lineup of electric cars and SUVs. It shares much of its underlying structure with the Volkswagen ID.4 but is wrapped in much fancier bodywork and boasts an array of technological features. It’s offered in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Q4 45 e-tron and all-wheel-drive (AWD) Q4 55 e-tron quattro forms for the 2026 model year.

What’s New for the 2026 Audi Q4 e-tron
The Audi Q4 e-tron debuted in 2022 and its 2024 refresh brought more power, more range, faster charging, and updated suspension settings. In 2025, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit Plus, MMI Navigation Plus, traffic-sign recognition, and Audi Connect were made standard across the lineup. The brand made several small changes to the Q4 e-tron’s packaging for the 2026 model year, including the additions of Park Assist Plus, a surround-view camera system, and a Sonos sound system for Premium Plus models. A new Vision Package for the Q4 55 e-tron includes a head-up display, matrix-design LED headlights with daytime running lamps, and headlight washers. A Black Optic Package adds blacked-out badges to the exterior, including Audi’s four-ring badge.
Design
The 2026 Audi Q4 e-tron looks pretty much the same as it has since its introduction in 2022, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s clearly an Audi, with a large singleframe grille and muscular shapes that define the wheel arches. As is the case with several of Audi’s models, the Q4 e-tron is offered in both a traditional SUV shape and a so-called Sportback with a coupe-like fastback roofline that reduces interior space but looks sportier than its higher-roofed sibling. Audi offers only four exterior colors for the 2026 Q4 e-tron; Pebble Gray is standard, while Mythos Black metallic, Navarra Blue metallic, and Glacier White metallic are available for an extra $595.
Powertrain
The 2026 Audi Q4 45 e-tron features an electric motor that sends 282 horsepower to the rear wheels through a single-speed transmission. Audi claims a 0-60 time of 6.3 seconds for the Q4 45. The Q4 55 e-tron quattro features a pair of electric motors powering all four wheels, and its 335 hp make for a 0-60 dash of 5.0 seconds. Both Q4 e-tron models use the same 82-kWh battery pack. The RWD 45 model can travel up to 288 miles per charge, while the 55 quattro version offers 258 miles of range. Audi claims the Q4 e-tron can charge from 10%-80% capacity in 28 minutes with a proper charger, which, while decent, isn’t as fast as some competing models from BMW, Cadillac, Genesis, and Mercedes-Benz.

Interior
Audi is known for its advanced interiors, and the Q4 e-tron is no different. Leather seats in black, beige, or brown are standard, as are premium aluminum and natural wood trims. The standard power panoramic sunroof keeps the interior light and airy (less so in the Sportback model). An optional Sport Package is offered on the Q4 55 e-tron in Premium Plus trim and adds upgraded front seats with an embossed S emblem in black leather.
Technology
Audi’s high-tech Virtual Cockpit Plus digital dashboard is standard in the 2026 Q4 e-tron. A second 11.6-inch touchscreen runs Audi’s MMI infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. An optional head-up display can project useful information onto the windshield directly in front of the driver. Audi Connect comes with a free six-month trial (after which a subscription is required) and includes traffic-light information, satellite imagery, Amazon Alexa integration, a hybrid radio that digitally retains station signals when out of range, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
