A lot of people looking at a certain car for the lowest price end up getting the oldest/first year of a cars generation. Thats because its typically the least expensive year of that particular body style they are looking for. As someone whos sold many cars in the last decade I can assure you, that is typically a big mistake. They often have problems that automakers cant know about until thousands of people have driven them for tens of thousands of miles, or more. I wanted the most reliable car possible. Easy, right? Just buy a Toyota... right? No. Ive seen it with Toyota as well. Many times. So I purposely sought the most recent model year of a generation of cars that are widely considered the most reliable ever made. A 2017 Camry (non-hybrid), if treated well, can be counted on being driven for over 1 million miles without an engine rebuild. They are an engineering marvel of our time. The 2.5l 2AR-FE has to be the most bulletproof example of a gasoline engine to ever sit under a hood. The car itself is well designed and is a flawless performer in normal daily driving. The SE/XSEs in particular have a suspension that can take a quickly-turned corner without skipping a beat. The seats are very comfortable over long drives, but supportive when youre in the curves. It has large windows to avoid blind spots and has airbags in every direction. The crash tests show that its extraordinarily safe if the unthinkable occurs. Its simply a brilliant choice of car. And getting back to my first sentences, the 2017 model had it all nailed down after 6 years of getting closer and closer to perfection. Toyota could have gotten away with not redesigning it for several more years. Easily. However, being the most popular car in the United States is a challenge that requires not letting the customers get bored. So I suppose Ill forgive Toyota for not making the car longer. That said, any one of the years of the seventh generation Camry is a great car to own. But this last year is perfection. Its why I have one. Im proud & grateful to be the owner of a 2017 Camry SE. Ill likely drive it until the car or myself dies. Dont ask me which one will kick the bucket first though, because Im 42 and this engineering marvel of the auto world is only 7. Dont pass up a well treated one. Oct 27, 2024

I just purchased a 2013 Toyota Camry XLE a week ago and I love it so much! I previously had a 2009 Toyota Camry LE and regret selling it so I had to buy another one but this time I decided to buy newer with a higher trim. I love how efficient, compact but spacious, economical, reliable, low maintenance and how they hold their value. Jun 04, 2023

This wonderful rating is applicable to 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE with less than 85k of miles. The vehicle has everything per fancy options: Moonroof, Sport Spoiler, Entune multimedia bundle, 6.1 touch-screen display, AM/FM CD player, MP3/WMA playback capability, 6 speakers, auxiliary audio jack, USB 2.0 port w/iPod connectivity and control, hands-free phone capability, phone book access, advanced voice recognition and music streaming via Bluetooth wireless technology.
Radio w/Seek-Scan, Clock, Speed Compensated Volume Control and Steering Wheel Controls. Great 40MPG per the Hybrid version!
A Great driving mid Hybrid sedan to own and is extremely reliable beyond 350k+ miles!Aug 26, 2022

Test drove one and its comfortable as the Ford Fusion, has the leg space for taller folks in the rear.
The trunk space is adequate enough to fit 4 large duffel bags flat + 1 on top of those so if youre planning a trip and have a lot of goodies, you dont need a roof rack to transfer them ( unless you have something more than 4 ft, like fishing rods or tripods etc ).
Ride is good and absorbs bumps well. The cars roll isnt hard when turning at speed and it can do 15 to 55 in a great amount of time when you need to accelerate going onto the highway.
I would say if youre looking for used, at a great price, dont hesitate to purchase one! Test drive it first a few times to get a feel. And if it fits like a glove, I say go for it!Oct 03, 2021

Loved this little car. I worked a job where I was frequently driving 6 to 8 hundred miles a week. The Corolla was safe, comfortable, economical, fine on the highways at 70MPH (or a little more), and I knew it wasnt going to strand me anywhere. I trusted it enough I sold it to a very close friends granddaughter, something I wouldnt have done if I thought it was going to give her problems. She loves it too now. I told her if anything goes wrong call me, nearly early a year now and no calls (for that). The 2013 was my 4th Corolla...Im now driving a 2016, my fifth Corolla, and if I live long enough this one wont be my last. Jul 29, 2021

We have owned Camrys for years and consider them to be the best all-around vehicles on the road. I bought a used 2012 model from the local Toyota dealer because I did not want to buy new. From everything that I can see, the 2012 model may be the best Camry ever made.May 08, 2020

When you say fuel efficiency you would instantly think as a car buff that the car will not be cool, fast etc. But this Camry in particular just really stood out. Its beautiful, amazing on gas especially with this economy we live in and it is also a great daily car. Super comfortable for long trips!May 15, 2015

Good on gas mileage, nice amount of room, fun/helpful features, trusted brand. Appearance was good looking. Performance was good. Was easy to accelerate and brake.
I cannot review the maintenance cost or price value due to the fact it was a rental.Mar 01, 2015

handles well, does great on gas, nice leather interior, touch screen, bluetooth, power seat for driver, quiet engine. Nice vehicle for families that are large or small. I enjoy the comfort and feel of the vehicle. Nice tint to keep the inside slightly cooler. Ample trunk space for packing and travelingAug 14, 2014

Recently I purchased a 2012 Toyota Camry SE. So far I am very happy with the decision. This is my 3rd Camry (previously owned a 2002, and 2005). Both LE. This time I went with the SE as I didn't care for the front end styling on the LE on the new generation (too plain IMHO, even the Chrome bars fail to add any interest), also the light colored cloth seats seemed too hard to keep clean. The SE however while admittedly not as much a stand out visually as a fusion or 6 is clean, understated but classy. I love the fog lights, 17" alloys, and spoiler.
Performance is decent. My SE is the 2.5L 4 cylinder. Off the line it's peppy enough. On the highway passing and merging is not a problem. A quick down shift on the paddle shifter makes these things fun(did I just say Fun when talking about Camry). I find the paddle shifters very responsive. The brakes are firm and not mushy. Finally Toyota got the brakes right. The steering and cornering is Camry like, though much improved over past Camrys I've owned or rented. The steering is light and offers very little feedback. If you want sports car agility and feel; try Mazda 6, or Honda Accord. If you want a comfortable, quiet composed ride with reliability to boot. You'll find it here. My SE is very comfortable capable highway cruiser.
Gas mileage is great. I can get the advertised 35mpg highway if I am easy on the throttle and stay off those paddle shifters. Otherwise I average around 31-33 highway. Not bad. Definitely a improvement over my 2005.
The interior. I like it. Though many car reviews I read slammed it. I think while the interior materials are not as quality as they were in the past, it is certainly better than the misaligned plasticky interiors of the last generation (2007-2011). The front touch areas are soft to the touch. The faux chrome pieces on the SE aren't fooling anyone but, they are tasteful and inoffensive. There is some hard plastic to be found on lower parts of the door sides and the upper part of the dash. Overall the SE's dark interior works for me. I think it will hold up well. I especially like the seats, black Softex (faux leather with dark cloth insets). Definitely classes up the interior. Real leather seats with suede insets are available should you so desire it. The interior is quiet with minimal road noise. I haven't experienced popping noises other report. I do notice a little wind noise.
The cars tech is nice. The Bluetooth and iPod, iPhone, jump drive connections are awesome. Pairing my phone was very easy to do. I like the radio and phone controls on the steering wheel. The radio(mine is the standard non-entune, no navi) has a decent interface. It wasn't too hard to figure out. iPod connected no problem. The sound of the stereo is decent. It has tire pressure monitor that will give you the psi for each tire. There is a mpg interface as well.
While my car is not perfect (what car is?) overall I love my Camry and I am very happy with my purchase.Mar 18, 2014
