I did a lot of research and read many reviews and I think this is a great value SUV. Very similar to a Rav4 or CRV but without the hype markup. The car is comfortable, quick, responsive and not ugly. I dont want all the crazy new safety features and this car what I need.May 08, 2024

I dont know why everytime you buy something, they always ask for a review when you havent even had any time to use it. This is not any different. I can say that this is a nice car. From the onboard Navigation, handsfree calling and Bose stereo system just to name a few. It has a peppy engine nice comfortable ride. Im sure that the longer I have it, the more Im going to love it.Feb 01, 2024

With the 2.5 liter engine, great car. Reliable and good on gas to boot. I would chose this over a Honda CRV or Toyota Rav4. Jul 29, 2023

I purchased a 2015 Touring trim for my daughter with 122k miles. She loves it! It drives very smooth for the number of miles; and the body, interior, and suspension are tight and in excellent condition. Her dark blue metallic exterior came with a sunroof and light colored interior, so it feels airy. The infotainment system with Bose speakers was first generation, so not as nice as the 2016’s and beyond, yet it does the job--Bluetooth was our main need. The car drives zippy with good handling for a crossover. Highly recommend! Oct 24, 2022

2016 Mazda CX-5 is a great looking vehicle and is a nice ride. But its beginning to get dated. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 looks and drives much better, and is probably the better choice, given the price points of each. Sep 27, 2022

Great value. Mazda does a lot right with their cars and the 2016 cx5 gt is an example of that. Not exactly quick, but the non turbo 2.5 moves the car along just fine - certainly enough for most drivers. Nice features, best small suv for those who enjoy driving. Very reliable, all around solid choice.

Incredible reliability! Easy to drive and the safety features make allow for easy maneuvering and comfortable drives. Great trunk space. Definitely a great car! Just wished it and similar suvs would I stall back passenger air vents. Very similar to the CR-V Jun 17, 2022

I love this car so far. When I was looking, the Mazda’s seemed to offer more options for the price. The only thing I wish it had would be remote start, but that can always be added. Mar 04, 2022

The 2.5L in the 2014 CX-5 makes a huge difference vs the 2013 2.0L model. The car isnt super fast, but has enough acceleration to not feel stranded when you need to get moving. The blind spot sensors are a nice feature and so is the backup cam. Overall the car drives great, has a ton of storage, and really good mileage compared to other CUVs.Oct 30, 2021

One of the best rated CUV in its class. Spacious, comfortable, reliable and looks great. Drives wonderfully but I only gave it 4 stars because of the underpowered 2.0 engine. Nevertheless, my top pick for a crossover utility vehicle. Dec 18, 2020

The car is a good value but I would like to see it be a little more peppy. To be honest it’s really slow. But it has been getting really good mpg almost 30 in the winter. The awd got me to work and home safely. The options for these are rather spartan as it’s not near as loaded as the Subaru’s I have been driving for the last decade. But I didn’t get the highest model either of the Mazda. The cx5 seems to ride ok and drive fairly well. Just depends on what you are looking for I guessDec 04, 2020

It ran smooth, handled well and allowed me to quickly move in and out of traffic when I needed to on my test drive. I also liked the backup camera feature and the sunroof option. This model doesnt have a remote power liftgate feature and it definitely should. This is comparable in features to a Buick encore without the luxurious feel to it. Aug 29, 2020

Only had it a short time but I love it more every day. A real blast to drive but great for the every day too. The 2016 Grand Touring 19" wheels are really nice, Technology Package LED lighting is really sharp and quite bright, and I love the radar cruise control.Apr 10, 2015

I really love this car. It drives really well for a 4 cylinder and gets excellent gas mileage for an suv period... it competes with most sedans but you still have the added space of an suv! The extra features of touchscreen dash, pandora, and bluetooth capabilities are all perks while on the road also. Great space for families in the backseat and trunk area. Apr 09, 2015

I looked at the CR-V, RAV-4, Sportage, Sedona, Tuscon and many other mid-size crossover SUVs and all of them had considerably WORSE MPG for MORE COST. This was an easy no-brainer to buy. Once I felt how smooth the ride was, and the extras included for the price, I was sold. Luckily I got the metallic dark/midnight blue color which everyone loves, unlike the ugly Ford blue with its purple tint.
After 2 months of driving, both automatic and manual mode, I'm getting great gas mileage, and I feel safe with its great safety rating. Would definitely buy again.Jul 30, 2014
