I was more interested in an SUV. And the optima has been known to have major issues at 102000 miles. Im interested more in vehicles that are more likely to make it to 300000 mi.Jun 06, 2023

This is one of my most favorite cars I have owned in 35 years. It looks classy, runs great, and has been extremely reliable. The interior is roomy and has good head clearance. The seats are comfortable and easy to clean.Jan 12, 2013

Talk about value for the money. This car has been a good and relatively reliable all around family car with plenty of comfortable space for four (sometimes five). Looked at Accord, Fusion and Sonata and ended up with Optima.
Great rear seat leg room - much better than Fusion.
Gave up more supple leather and more horsepower from the Sonata, but paid 10% less.
Liked styling and additional standard equipment and better mileage than Accord.
Needs better front seats. Newer versions have improved the leather but cut down rear seat headroom.Jul 26, 2012

Best car ever! I will definitely stick with this make of vehicle. Very happy
with their performance. It's a 4-cyl luxury car that has a DOHC engine. It's
like driving at least a V6 with a cold air intake. Love. Love. Love. Not to
mention the steering is really tight. It's awesome. Roads with lots of bends
are my favorite.Oct 20, 2011

Love it! The car is smooth, quiet, &
dependable, with good mpg & enough bells
and whistles to make it fun to drive. Great
buy! Highly recommended!

I was surprised at how nice a car I got for my first car. Was looking at an earlier model Hyundai Accent GT, turns out the bank wouldn't touch it because of the miles, and I got the Optima instead. Great car. All you could ask for, really. Comfortable sedan with plenty of room in the front and back. Lots of trunk space, far more than most cars I've been in. Great gas mileage, which is good because I commute to college every day. Got it in pristine condition, no complaints on sturdiness or performance. Good sound system. If you're looking for a good all-around car that will do its job well and last you a long time, look no further than an 06 Optima.Oct 25, 2009

For a 4 Cyl, the acceleration is very good, and is a TON of fun to drive. The appearance could have been a bit for B.A., but I think overall it looks fairly nice. The gas mileage is really good too. Interior is easy to keep clean, although the back window is a mother effer to clean from the inside!Sep 15, 2009

Good car, great on gas. Consistantly gets more than 30 MPG and has decent pickup. Fairly reliable, never hesitates and the standard transmission is very simple to use. The gas tank is the largest I've ever seen on a 4 banger, at over 18 gallons.Jul 01, 2009
