Good truck for the right price. I bought it to have pickup to around to haul stuff and for an extra vehicle.
I previously owed a 1988 Chevy Silverado and 20 02 Toyota Tundra. The Ford F-150 is on even par with those. May 08, 2024

I like the Ford F150 with the 5.4 Triton motor. I own one a few years ago. It was dependable and comfortable to drive. It had 489.000 miles on it when it had to be retired. Never had any major problems.Apr 23, 2024

The F series trucks have always been my favorite, but as they age, mileage wise, the 3 valve triton motor is costly to repair.Apr 14, 2024

This is the most inviting interior cabin for a truck I have seem, Ford motors really put their work in stepping up their game on this one. All the luscious fell of a luxury automobile, the four doors and entertainment center make it a joy on either short or long trips. What a family vehicle.Feb 27, 2015

This has been a good truck, nothing to major in the repair department. Typical maintenance. Good power and towing capabilities. Good handling, and traction. Brakes are good, stops in a resonable amount of distance . Interior is comfortable and spacious, ample storage, and amenities. Could of used a stain resistant material for seats, door panels, handles, and steering wheel.hard to clean and keep that way . Overall it has been a good tough solid truck. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Doesn't have the best mileage , but resonable.Feb 25, 2014

I love this truck. Still catches people's attention everywhere I take it and always get good comments on how great and agressive it looks with the way I have it lowered. Love the responsive horse power, specially because it has the saleen super charger upgrade. Nov 25, 2013

Smooth and quiet ride, responsive handling, attractive and functional cabin, multiple cab and bed configurations. Thanks to its stiff frame, double-wishbone front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering, the 2008 Ford F-150 delivers impressive ride and handling dynamics for a full-size truck. The brakes feel solid, with a firm pedal, but stopping distances are still longer than most of the F-150's competition.Oct 17, 2013

I loved this Fx4 truck very much. You can do everything with this truck from work, to basic offroad use, and anything family related like long trips. The Fx4 model has a very luxurious and spacious interior. Only con is the gas mileage.May 23, 2013

Great truck, love the room and versatility it offers. It hauls items in the bed wonderfully. The heat and air always work the way it should. It has been a great truck for our family. Love the look inside and the comfort!Apr 16, 2013

Great Ride, this was the first truck that Ford revised after years, the 2004 Model Lariat Crew Cab 2x4 the most room in it's class. I have done a few modifications, but just for cosmetic reasons, and performance. Overall a great vehicle!Dec 31, 2012

I liked that it could pull both my enclosed or flatbed trailers with no problem. Very durable and dependable vehicle. Could get better gas mileage, but not as bad as others I have driven. Would like if it had a quieter ride.Sep 30, 2012

Overall this was a great truck. Power was good, towing ability was great, handled great (whether towing, off roading, in-climate roads or just cruising). The gas mileage was a little poor but what was to be expected from a big V8 truck. Never had any issues with this truck, only routine maintenance. The ride quality was far superior than any other truck I have driven. I had a blast taking this truck on trips and just driving around town. When towing I couldn't even tell there was something back there. Jan 08, 2012

It accelerates well, plenty of torque, the 4 wheel drive is great, never had a problem or got stuck. The interior is nice, and comfortable, no rattles, It is fun to drive, sounds excellent with and intake. Nice deep bed, can store a lot of things in there. The gas mileage could be better but it is a V8 4 wheel drive so you can't expect too much. The body design is my favorite year, looks good with a billet grille. Maintenance has been pretty simple, just change the oil so far.Feb 19, 2010

This is truck is well built and hasn't given me any trouble at all. It has the 4.6L V8 with an automatic. I have driven a 4.6L Mustang with a 5 speed. Given that this is the same engine, I'd have to say that the weight of the truck makes a HUGE difference in performance. Acceleration is just average for my truck, which is fine for what it is. Towing my trailer loaded with three dirt bikes is no trouble and hauling a half yard of dirt is no problem at all. We drove it on vacation and the kids, 9 and 13, had no complaints with the comfort of the back seat.Sep 28, 2009

There is almost no road noise and the handling for a truck is actually pretty impressive. It looks awesome and the 5.4 liter engine does not disappoint, this puppy hauls major ass. It has cost me nothing in the way of repairs and can still be used for "truck" duties. It'll blow the doors off of almost any other automobile out there of similar price and look great doing it. The A/C is amazing and the gas mileage isn't that bad actually unless of course I'm having some fun haha. Jul 13, 2009

Great Truck for hauling large loads, very comfortable seating with a touch of luxury. Handles 4x4 high in snow very well. Sirius Radio comes as an option which is really nice. Only drawback on this vehicle is the gas mileage. Jun 06, 2009

I bought it brand new, now i have 60k miles on it. It never had a single problem. I put a wipple supercharger on it, and it has 390 RWHP. Not bad for a truck! It beats most cars on the road! No rattles, it is a nice quiet smooth ride.Nov 11, 2008

I love my truck! It's not too big (unlike my 2004 F-250 Super Duty Diesel 4-Door 4x4 Long bed with camper shell -- nicknamed by folks where I work as a LAND-BARGE), and not too small (like a Ranger). It tows and carries all that I need, and more!Oct 03, 2008

It has great space will pull anything i need it to like a dream, good sound system, very comfortable seats. The limited slip isa almost so good i rarely need four wheel. At night it lights up the road as if it were day time. With a little imagination and with lil to no money it can sound great. My model is the STX Limited Edition as well so it has the upgraded sound system, 18" Wheels and the alternate graphicsSep 25, 2008

This is an excellent vehicle! It does everything I want it to do with ease. Gas mileage is very good for this type of vehicle and it has sufficient power and cargo space. It is also a very attractive truck and a very dependable one as well. Performance, build quality, appearance, everything is great!Sep 07, 2008

Performance - acceleration in 0-60 in 6.0 seconds and handling it turns on a dime
Build Quality - No repairs on the truck
Appearance - Black Paint and Black Cloth
Fun Factor - The most fun to drive this truck
Cost of Ownership - gas mileage is 13 in the city and 22 on the highwayAug 11, 2008

Love it, the cadillac of trucks! Luxury and Power wrapped into one! Performance good and gas mileage is great for the size of the vehicle. Handles good but not sure if I like the 18" rims. Jun 26, 2008

There is a reason that the Ford F Series has been the best-selling truck line for the last 30 years, and that the Ford F-150 for the past 16 years has not only been the best selling truck, but also the best-selling VEHICLE in the United States. Simply put, Ford has built a revolutionary pickup truck with the 2004-2008 line that combines the luxury and handling of a large passenger car, with the power, attitude, and performance of a truck. The appearance of the Ford F-150 is that of absolute beauty, and sitting in the interior, you would imagine that you were in a luxury SUV. However, when you throw 10,000 lbs worth of weight behind it (best in class), the F-150 does not disappoint. A recommended buy for anyone who wants a real truck.Jun 24, 2008

It's a great truck, yet has all the comforts of a car. I was looking for an everyday driver that I could also take to decent restaurant without being embarrased. The King Ranch is a truck, but one that cleans up extremely well. The things that have surprised me the most are the quiet ride and the great stereo. No kidding! I got the nav setup with audiophile stereo and I thought it would be mediocre at best. It's really a great car stereo, with pounding bass from the subwoofer beneath the rear seat, as well as good voice and musical clarity. I've put aftermarket systems in other cars that didn't sound as good. I wish it had come with Bluetooth built-in, but I didn't have any difficulty installing a Parrot. The ride is smooth. Reasonable acceleration. Plenty of room for four adults. Comfortable seats. Gas mileage isn't great, but then I didn't expect anything better. I am getting about 14.5 mpg on average - and better than that on the road. I test drove a Toyota Tundra and also looked hard at the GMC Sierra. I'm glad I went with the King Ranch. No regrets.Oct 07, 2007
