Great model if you want a no frill technological driving experience. Decent value according to Carfax. You could buy a Corvette for 1/2 the money and get more features.Aug 17, 2021

Loaded with power.
Quite possibly one of the worse handling cars that I've ever driven.
Great looking car.
Sounds throaty and loaded with HP.
I understand that the newest model Vipers handle much better. I'd consider only if this was going to be the third family (lol) car.Oct 15, 2014

Great looking, fun driving-hard driving sports car compared to the ZR1. But if you know how to race and drive the car for how/why it's built you can have a lot of fun. Just don't let your friends test drive it! Jun 15, 2013

I just bought this car used last week with only 16,000 miles and have to say it's more than I ever hoped for. Everyone knows about the horsepower and torque, but the car is unbelievably comfortable to drive! I've driven it here in Dallas during 100+ days and have no issues with heat in the cabin. While the ride is stiff, it won't rattle your teeth loose and the looks are to die for. Men, women, kids... all love the car, give me thumbs up and want to ride in it. The only downside is every kid in a mustang or camaro wants to race. All I need to do is step on the gas and watch them disappear.
**** 1 YEAR UPDATE ****
I've now owned this car for one year. I still have no regrets. The Viper is reliable, comfortable, and still an awesome car to drive. I've driven it from DFW to Little Rock, AR and was comfortable the whole way. I've tracked it and can say it has greater capabilities than I do. I'm actually looking to buy another one shortly.Aug 10, 2011

Unmatched power and braking. Hard on Driver's license, Red is very visible if you know what I mean. Mileage is anywhere from 6mpg to 25mpg. Depends where the right foot is.
A hoot to drive.....not for the timid person.Dec 14, 2009

What's not to like? It has 700 rwhp and will spin the tires through third. There's nothing like going 170mph with the top down. And then when you want to just cruise, it's as docile as any daily driver. And it gets looks everywhere I go. It is just what I wanted!Nov 17, 2009

what else can I say about the dodge viper? Besides that it's a pro car for anyone who wants a sporty car that works great. The Viper is an enjoyable way to get from point to point and the cost of ownership is nice to boot except its a gas guzzler from time to time but preforms well and requires ver little mateninceNov 09, 2009

Verry goog piece of car but 8,0 L engine is far from economic. So it is not for everyone. I guess I will have to look for more economic cars but still wiht lot HP because it is crutial when it comes to buying one.Sep 20, 2009

Well what can say about a 500 bhp monster that can cruise all day at high 20's mpg, is so comfortable on a long drive with great seats and a super radio and stereo which includes a six disc dash mounted CD changer. Costs only a couple of hundred pounds to service once a year and gives Ferrari performance.Nov 10, 2008

I've owned six vipers now and God willing will never be without one! This one has a fully built custom motor w/a paxton supercharger making just over 1,000hp! It's unbelievable to drive! I've been looking to build a car like this for years and finally found this one. Love it!Nov 03, 2008

This is a quintessential supercar. I have always wanted one since I saw the first prototype at the Auto show in 1992. These cars are highly underated as most people think Ferrari or some other exotic is superior. This is a myth. This cars acceleration and handling is unbelievable. Its looks are second to none and I just get this awesome feeling whenever I see it or drive it. It gets lots of attn. and some people just cant believe it when they see it. They only make a limited production per year and the Viper name is well revered. I just love this car. This has been my dream come true.Oct 17, 2008

it was my parents and it was red with white strips. It had the TNT package with a system put in it. We put maybe 200miles on it in 2years. The first time I drove it, I was scared!! I had a hard time seeing over the hood, because I'm short. There was a lot of horse power and the car was made for a man to drive it. Jun 21, 2008

I had an opportunity to drive one on a motor-cross and the acceleration was incredible.
Handling was impressive as well. People criticize Viper for being a straight line car, but I
thought it handled perfectly. Mar 18, 2008

Ahh, the Dodge Viper. Not a very common racing car, but one heck of an awesome car! This car had a lot of speed in just one gear. You would basically go from 0 to 70 only in 2nd gear. It also was a great car to maneuver, hence the wide racing tires. The paint job was great - the metallic silver-blue paint was shiny and glossy. Not only is the beauty and wonder on the outside, but just flip the hood and start the engine!Jan 26, 2008

Drove a Viper around Road America - wasn't impressed. Oversteered and was very unstable.
Gearbox was similar to my circa 90s John Deere, A/C Controls and many other parts were
borrowed from the Neon. Exhaust design/layout was an afterthought - scorched your legs
getting in or out after high speed runs. Fun in 2nd gear in straight line, but first corner was
not fun at all.Jan 01, 2008
