Slow and bad handling. The worst styling of the era which earned it the lowest selling price. Drum brakes all around that were good for one hard stop. A challenge when it was time for the yearly inspection. It was towed out of the driveway when the transmission failed.Jan 22, 2013

Styling -- 5 stars -- especially the Impala coupe. Performance was fine, not outstanding. I had 283 V8, not a 348, so that's what one would expect. If you want a car that will turn heads and continue to appreciate well, a 59 cnvt or coupe will fill the bill.Dec 27, 2012

This car is a really neat car to cruise in. the way it handles is good. with the new top and tires you could just tear up some roadways. I wished the original owner had not changed the three deuce manifold but that holley four barrel gives it plenty of gas when you romp on it. now its just a show car or actually going to have the frame off done. after that its to the barrett jackson auction..Oct 24, 2012

It was my first love of a Car. It had Style, Comfort, Power in a 348ci Turboglide. It was expensive to Maintain because of Mileage over 100,000. In her day was the Top of Chevrolet vehicles. Nice roomy interior. The Impala was a very stylish vehicle & stood out from the crowd.Nov 20, 2011

This was my first car. It was a convertible white with red interior. it had a 327 engin with duel headers and cherry bomb mufflers. Lifted rear end and moonies around. My father and I did a basic rebuild when I was 16yrs old. The best part was replacing the top which neither of us had ever done so it was hard but fun doing it together.Oct 15, 2009

This 59 Impala is one of kind and i love it
big rims, airride and v8 is all you need
* Performance – acceleration, braking, handling
* Build Quality – cant be better
* Appearance – no need
* Cost of Ownership – $$$$$
* Fun Factor – sure it have

Automotive porn! Complete design excess & the only thing green about it is the colour of some of the wires under the dashboard! Spent six years restoring & modifying this. Pics were taken two years ago just after I painted it. It now runs a small block, TH350 trans, 17" Torque Thrust II's. Air ride will be heading thsi way shortly........ Apr 10, 2008

I got to drive this very beautiful 1960 Chevrolet Impala. Everything is stock,

I have the 2 door model with power brakes and steering. Compared to todays cars there is a marked difference but if compared to models of its era it would have to be considered as much smoother than most. My rating above reflects it compared to cars of its era. Feb 10, 2007

I was the proud owner of a 1960 Chevy two-door sport coup. Dual antennas on the back and dual rear view mirrors on the front fenders. The streamline styling made it look like it could fly. The dash was designed with unbelievable balance and beauty. The steering wheel was georgous. One can only hope that some day Chevrolet will again build such cars of elegance. Oct 31, 2006
