I’ve owned 3 so far. It’s really the ultimate BMW and one of the best sounding engines in the world. I would only place the Aventador V12 and Ferrari V12 above it.
The car is a unicorn and now is the best time to buy them before prices get crazy like the E30 M3. Jan 15, 2022

The s85 engine is why I bought an e60 m5. In terms of hp for the money its a bargain. I cant think of any car thats faster for 15k. Although dont let the purchase price fool you. The real cost is in maintaining this beast of a car. Every time Ive had an issue with this car its several thousand dollars, just in parts.
Thank god I do my own work. The dealership quoted 6 thousand dollars to do the clutch. Even the rod bearings are a scheduled maintainance item every 80 thousand miles. And lets not forget how much a set of tires cost for this baby , around 4k if you go to the dealership . 200 mph rated tires are not cheap. In my humble opinion though this car is worth every penny.Apr 22, 2021

The most amazing feature of this car is its normally asperated whopping 10 cylinder engine producing 505hp. It is most likely going to be a collector. To get one with good miles would more than likely be a keeper.Dec 09, 2020

Ok an honest review. They are amazing and terrible at the same time. Great and fun to drive fast. Terrible in slow stop and go traffic.
Very expensive to maintain. But the sound of the v10 is like nothing else. Totally amazing to to drive and plenty of power . Jul 05, 2020

I have owned this car for around 1.5 years and have loved every minute of it. It has been very reliable and has delivered all the power I have ever needed. I would recommend this car for anyone as a collector or daily driver.Apr 22, 2015

Best sedan in the world that got it all. Super handling and power with m. Can personally choose which setting of suspension and transmission you want. With all the luxury features and 500+ hp, this is the most luxurious and most powerful car on the planet.Oct 22, 2014

It's the ultimate driving machine. BMW has outdone themselves again with this engineering marvel. The V10 power plant is something worthy of its own page in the record books, with heart pounding pleasure delivering performance. A kick in the seat of your pants done with class. I love everything especially the sound. The car looks amazing and is a treat to drive, it is my daily driver and has been issue free. The leather is plush and the power is plentiful oh and it fits my whole family and groceries.Dec 24, 2013

Great car - would highly recommend but not for an everyday driver. Excellent handling, extremely responsive and feels like a much smaller car when you put it through its paces. Can easily get out from underneath you with all of the power it has.Feb 16, 2013

This car is amazing. Can't beat the looks and performance. Stebro exhaust and 20" wheels make it look and sound mean! No complaints other than rear wheel drive and not all wheel drive like im used to with audi quattro. Dec 19, 2012

I have found the M5 to be a consumate sedan able to tool around town or scream down the road with 500 horses unleashed. Very comfortable and an insane highway car gobbling up miles with ease and luxury. I will miss the car once it finds its new home

Beautiful engine, naturally aspirated V10 going all the way up to 8500 rpm with a nice 507 bhp on a most brilliant rear wheel drive chassis. SMG gearbox has its flaws but not much to complain about, except that you have to press "M" to unlock the best of it. Oh and the annoying satnav, and the dodgy bluetooth... Build quality is what you'd expect from the manufacturer. Feul economy is nothing to get happy about, but it's a V10. The punchline? One of the best cars ever.Aug 23, 2010

it has a great acceleration and the braking system is nice and even if something is kept onthe seat it does not fall because of its great stability control.and it is one of my best cars.it has a great shape from outside.and the maintenance is .. nice (ok).and it ROCKSMar 27, 2010

awesome in every way but not for the gear box. the down shift is really really fast. but shifting up a gear is really slow. big horse power low torque waste of gas. Rear wheel drive = bad start. awesome lumbar support.Nov 30, 2009

The M5 is unlike any car I've ever driven. It is an
extension of your body and it responds to you
instantly. I just put Michellin Sport 2's on and it
handles even better if that's possible. The only
criticism I have is with iDrive which is slow and not
very user friendly. The car has plenty of power (500

The best family performance saloon I ever drove. Amazing acceleration, awesome handling, and great exhaust sounds, very-very fun to drive! - Performance: Huge amounts of power: 507hp! 5Litre v10.
Yes, it is a monster! Neck breaking acceleration.
- Build quality: It hasn't needed any repairs. BMW quality.
Only thing was that the leather creaked a bit when turning, but you couldn't really even hear it!
- Appearance: Very nice designing, both interior and exterior.
Sportish, like it should be.
- Cost of Ownership: Expensive car in any way. You have to be rich to drive this. Spends around 18l/100km.
