The 2022 Porsche Panamera splits the difference between a mid-to-full-size sedan and a midsize crossover. It has a sedan-like profile, yet some of the cargo room that you might expect in an SUV. The Panamera made its debut at the Auto Shanghai International Automobile Show in 2009, and it’s currently in its second generation, which was unveiled at a special event in Berlin in 2016. The Panamera rides on the same Volkswagen Group MSB platform as the Bentley Continental GT and the Bentley Flying Spur.
The Porsche Panamera is available in a seemingly never-ending barrage of different trim levels of the same car, broken down into three categories: Panamera, Panamera Executive, and Panamera Sport Turismo. Models with the "Sport Turismo" designation are more of a station wagon and offer a bit more cargo volume.
The base Panamera, Panamera Platinum Edition, Panamera 4, Panamera 4 Platinum Edition, Panamera 4 Executive, and Panamera 4 Sport Turismo all feature a 325-hp twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 with 332 lb-ft of torque. The Panamera 4S, Panamera 4S Executive, and Panamera 4S Sport Turismo all feature a 443-hp version of the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6, with 405 lb-ft of torque.
The Panamera GTS and Panamera GTS Sport Turismo both share a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 473 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque.
The Panamera Turbo S, Panamera Turbo S Executive, and Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo all have a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 rated at 620 hp and 604 lb-ft of torque.
The base Panamera sedan and the Panamera Platinum Edition sedan both come with rear-wheel drive (RWD); all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard for every other trim level.
For 2022, standard features increased on all trim levels with wireless device charging, wired Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay, while wireless Android Auto is available as an option.
Color options for the 2022 Panamera are trim-dependent. Two basic colors (White and Black) are offered at no extra cost. The 10 metallic colors add $840, five additional “special colors” add $3,270, and a custom color match option adds $11,430.
The 2022 Porsche Panamera starts at $88,400 in its base trim level. Panamera Platinum Edition starts at $101,900, Panamera 4 at $93,000, and Panamera 4 Platinum Edition at $106,000. The Panamera 4S starts at $106,400, Panamera GTS at $130,700, and Panamera Turbo S at $179,800.
The Panamera 4 Executive starts at $99,700, Panamera 4S Executive at $117,700, and Panamera Turbo S Executive at $190,200.
The Panamera 4 Sport Turismo starts at $99,200, Panamera 4S Sport Turismo at $112,600, Panamera GTS Sport Turismo at $136,900, and Panamera Turbo S Sport Turismo at $183,800.
