The Aston Martin Vanquish is available in either a coupe or convertible, which is known as a Volante. It carries over for 2019, its final year. It competes with Ferrari models like 488GTB and 812 Superfast.
The Vanquish S, the coupe, has a 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12, good for 580 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. The smooth, loud V12 drives the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic and will go from 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 mph. The Vanquish manages 13 mpg city, 21 highway, and 16 combined.
The coupe can seat two while the Volante gets 2+2 seating. Standard features for the coupe include 20-inch alloy wheels, an Alcantara headliner, heated front seats with memory features, heated side mirrors, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay, and a 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo system. On the Volante trim, these features are also standard along with a power soft top that will open in 14 seconds at speeds of up to 30 mph.
As for options, buyers can add special hood louvers made of either carbon fiber or magnesium, a carbon fiber roof, upgraded upholstery, a rear seat for the coupe, an automatic dimming rear-view mirror, a leather headliner, and carbon fiber interior trim. Buyers can also personalize their Vanquish through the “Q by Aston Martin” program.
Safety features are limited to a reversing camera and tire-pressure sensors. The Vanquish S and Volante have not been crash tested.
The Vanquish still looks fresh and is sure to get plenty of attention wherever it goes.
