Why is my hybrid clunky when accelerating from a stand-still?
My 2013 Jetta Hybrid does not transition from electric at a stand-still to gasoline when accelerating very smooth. It causes the entire sedan to "shutter" or "buck." This does not happen every time, but it happens enough to be worrisome. I recently changed the oil/filter and noticed that my air filter was pretty dirty. I'm replacing that today. Maybe the dirty air filter was choking the engine just enough to cause the turmoil when accelerating? Maybe this is just the nature of the vehicle when is switches from electric to gas? Please let me know if you experience this too. First time owning a hybrid.
