How do I get my car to come out of park?
My 2013 prius c won't come out of park and I tried depressing the shift lock , it turns on everything works, brake lights etc. It just won't budge .

The 2013 Toyota Prius C is the subcompact 4-door hatchback version of the Prius gas-electric hybrid family of cars from Toyota, which also includes the Prius, Prius V and Prius Plug-in Hybrid. The EPA estimates that the Prius C is capable of 46 mpg city/53 highway.
The 2013 Toyota Prius C seats 5 passengers and has a cargo volume of 17.1 cubic feet. Starting with the One, all Prius C trims come standard with automatic climate control, power windows, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel with mounted audio and climate controls, remote keyless entry, fabric seating surfaces, 4-way adjustable driver’s and front passenger seats, fold-down rear seat, a 4-speaker AM/FM audio system with CD player with MP3/WMA playback capability and a 3.5-inch multi-information display, rear defroster, intermittent front and rear wiper blades, projector beam halogen headlights, rear combination lights with LED taillights and 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers.

Like all Toyotas, the 2013 Prius C has the Star Safety System, which encompasses vehicle stability control, a traction control system, antilock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution with brake assist and smart-stop technology. The Prius C is also equipped with 9 airbags, including a driver's and front passenger advanced airbag system with driver and front passenger seat-mounted side airbags, driver's knee airbag, driver and front passenger seat cushion airbags, and front and rear side curtain airbags. Other standard safety features include daytime running lights, hill start assist and a tire pressure monitor system. Security features include a vehicle proximity notification system, as well as an engine immobilizer, which is not available on the One trim.
Many buyers of the 2013 Toyota Price C love the fuel economy the hybrid delivers, but some feel it is somewhat underpowered and its steering does not offer much feel or feedback, leaving handling average at best.
The 2013 Prius C offers a great deal of fuel mileage without much fanfare. The Prius C has no direct competitors as a hybrid-electric subcompact, but does find itself competing against the likes of the Volkswagen Golf, along with Toyota’s own Matrix and Yaris. Cheaper than most hybrids, the Prius C has much to offer those looking for a small hatchback.

Its a hybrid. Very different to drive. The back windshield on this particular car had some kind of divider, making it hard to see. Its also made where backing up is difficult the way the car is made. Your view is obstructed.
If you like a quiet ride, this isnt it. If you like a car that kicks in, this isnt it. Its very fuel efficient for sure but for highway driving it crawls to get to highway speeds and I was only driving at speeds of 50mph.
I probably still wouldve bought it if not for that back windshield.

Toyota Prius C’s dash board and the control setting panel is very crowded compared with the regular Toyota Prius. This particular car that I looked at appeared to be good from outside at the first glance, but had good amount of rust on the wheel rotors and drums,. There was rust under the hood, as well as on the support bars of the rear hatch. The braking would create abnormally high pitched sound. Like every other car in the Toyota Prius C family, this car too had problem to quickly accelerate from zero to 30 mph. Not a good value for money, in my opinion.Oct 20, 2022

I had a 2012 Toyota Prius c Three that was totaled in an accident. I really liked the car and had not been planning on getting anything until it was not worth the expense to repair. Ive had this 2013 Toyota Prius c Four for almost two weeks now and it has a couple more bells and whistles than the Three inc. seat warmers, better sound system, pleather seats and alloy wheels. It also has all of the features of my Three which I loved, sunroof, navigation/bluetooth, push start and keyless entry. Im starting off pretty much where I left off mileage-wise at around 100,000 miles and hope to see this care last me another 3-5 years. I only wish it was a little better-equipped for the snow since I live in Colorado, but for as small as it is it does pretty well, you cant expect 4wd SUV performance from a FWD compact hybrid.Feb 10, 2021

Hybrid battery fan replacement
Prius C (2) needs the hybrid battery fan replaced. I've cleaned it a couple times but recently whenever the fan would kick in it would make a loud buzzing sound. It kept getting worse until the fan finally quit working & now the hybrid system problem message is showing up on my screen. I'm having trouble finding the part/part name.
