The BMW 5351 X drive is an extremely solid car. I have owned Corvettes, Jaguars, Cadillacs and other luxury automobiles but I think this one is my favorite. It drives great and the sport mode is a blast. The only downside I have experienced so far is an alert for Drive Train Malfunction. After research I have found that this can be caused by low fuel, low battery and other minor issues. Its annoying but I am having that fixed. Mar 15, 2022

It is a great vehicle and very comfortable and reliable. The 4 cylinder is great on gas but could have a little more pickup power. All the options on the car are great. Plenty of power once you are up to 55mph. May 27, 2014

I drove in my vehicle to service at BMW dealership because engine light was on and running at low speed its a 2012 BMW X5 they told me it have lots of codes come up but the main one is the high pressure fuel pump and cost $3000 to repair , i agreed to have it repaired two days later they told me they took it out for the 2nd test drive and it stalled on the highway, they towed it back to the dealership and told me its a major engine issue and cannot fix it. what are my rights they told me I have to get my vehicle towed out and they will try to remove the part??? what should I do??

Engine Knocking when Revving and Copper Flakes in Oil Filter
Just bought it two weeks ago and noticed the knock. Local repair place said I need a new engine because of bearings being bad. Used engine with similar miles for $10,000. Is it possible to get new bearings instead of a replacement engine? There's no reason to think the replacement wouldn't have the same problem right?

Car wont start, evrything else works
Bought bmw 528i xdrive about months ago, didnt wanna start, bought new battery, re-programed , still nothing, took a starter out, tested and didnt work, bought used one , put it in and started on first try. Drove car arpund for and hour or so, everythig was fine, no codes. Left it in garage for a week, took it out on weekend amnd started , got it washed ,went for drive, and died on me couple blocks away, wont start, checked everything agin, fuses, all lights come on and nothing. Anyway looks like that battery is getting drained fast, sound like starter cliks but its solemoid i think, with fully charged battery tries to turn over and nothing happens, so beside battery and another code for 801c20 ZGM;central fault memory full-no- controll-unit fault , no other codes. Any ides guys?
