Custom made exhaust system, down pipes,.and front intercooler. Just picked up today. Now White smoke appears from rear pipes on idle. Help..

Write a reviewIn creating the MAZDASPEED6 for 2007, Mazda has taken its popular and sporty Mazda6 sedan and kicked it up a notch. Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.3-liter double-overhead-cam four-cylinder engine with direct gas injection, which delivers fuel directly into each chamber. As a result, the engine produces an impressive 270 horsepower, as well as extra torque for plenty of pedal off the mark. The exterior features an enhanced front end with an air duct for the intercooler integrated into the front grille and a sculpted hood that subtly rises to provide room for the engine's top-mounted intercooler. A rear spoiler and more aerodynamic bumpers give the rear end a unique appearance also. Inside are high-bolstered front bucket seats, automatic climate control, front side window demisters, power door locks, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, alloy pedals, and a Bose seven-speaker audio system. The MAZDASPEED6 is available in Sport and Grand Touring trim packages. To the standard list of features, the Grand Touring package adds leather seats (heated in the front), leather door trim, dual power heated mirrors, an advanced keyless entry system, electroluminiscent gauges, and a power moonroof. As might be expected, the MAZDASPEED6 received high marks from both drivers and critics, some of whom called the car nothing less than impressive. Its power, handling, styling, and interior appointments were all cited as positive points.

The speed6 is a sedan that lets you enjoy driving a little more. You can keep it stock or unleash power and potential with a few modifications. But keep the oil changes very regular and maintain the car so that it will continue to provide years of enjoyment. If you don't keep an eye on it, then "zoom zoom boom" will happen!
This car can be a daily driver, show car, track car, or combination of all. Anything you want to prepare it for it can handle. With less than 11K total cars made, half of which i'm sure are wrecked already, this car will be in high demand over time!Apr 02, 2015

If you like to drive, this is the perfect car. Great torque power in all six gears. It's very fast and comfortable, but it really shines on a twisty road. Handling and steering are near perfect. Only car I've ever owned that made me smile every time I drove it.Feb 07, 2013

Que dire du Mazdaspeed 6... Performances remarquables pour le prix, vraiment confortable, même pour monter en Gaspésie, les sièges sont superbes, un parfait équilibre entre confort et soutien. C'est luxueux et super bien équipé, sans trop flasher. J'adore le look sleeper et les petits détails qui n'interpellent que les connaisseurs. Il y a de l'espace en masse pour 4 adultes et un grand coffre avec les sièges rabatables si on sait comment. Le rouge est vraiment magnifique et l'intérieur noir, gris et aluminium fait très "classe". Par contre, c'est une auto qui ne supporte pas trop d'être battue. La mécanique est tout de même fragile alors il ne faut pas trop la cochonner. Sur la route, on ne se rend pas compte qu'on conduit un mastodonte de 1650kg car toutes les commandes sont nerveuses et réagissent au moindre mouvement, mais quand on embarque sur la piste, c'est une autre histoire. L'auto plonge du devant sous son énorme poids et le sous-virage devient presque irrémédiable. C'est la voiture parfaite pour la route selon moi, mais si vous comptez acheter la version Mazdaspeed pour la piste, oubliez cette idée tout de suite.Jun 11, 2010

Great fun car with tons of power and torque. AWD is nice and handling is retarded good. Gas mileage is something to be said even though its a 4cyl turbo 6spd manual. I love the mazda quality its not cheap and plastic like most cars these daysApr 11, 2010

For the price I paid, I think it is worth it. If you have a little bit more extra money, I would highly recommand you get the Nissan Altima V6 or Inifiniti GG35. I won't buy any mazda brand cars in the future. So many minor problems.Aug 30, 2009

it's a great car for $30,000. It's not as fast as other cars in it's class (Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution) but I consider it more luxurious. It's not Corvette of super car, but it is not what you expect. 6 disc in-dash Bose speakers. Brushed aluminum interior and a stiff clutch (only came in Manual trans). Price: Dealer sticker was 39,900 CAD. I received a grad
discount of 500, an "AWD Promotion" rebate of 1250
dollars and X-Plan pricing becasue of a relationship
Ford Motors has with my employer a thte time.
Performance: Acceleration is what you would expect
from a 270hp AWD car - 1/4 mile in 14.0, 0-60 in
about 5 seconds and pulls to 140 kph in a few seconds
more. Braking 60-0 in 121 feet (best in class) with
electronic brake force distribution and huge 126/12.4
inch electric boosted discs. Handling is phenomenal and
even when the tires let go the dynamic stability control
starts mapping torque and braking to the wheel that
need it to keep you going the way your wheel is
pointing, all in the blink of an eye.
Build Quality: with 45000kms on it I have had no
problems at all aside form one - the rear differential
whined since I bought it when driving between 70 and
78kph. It was annoying. The dealer replaced the whole
rear differential unit under warrenty, no quyestions
asked (a value of about 5000 dollars in parts and
labour). Other than that its been flawless.
Appearance: to ones taste of course. I like it, but hey I
bought it so I'm biased. Interior features are up there
with something that costs 20,000 dollars more.
Cost of Ownership: Depends how you drive it but I get
about 9L/100km in the city ("spirited" driving) and
about 7.5 - 8.5 on the highway @ 110 - 120 kph. at
copnstant 70kph it'll do about 6.5 L/100km. Overall it
gets great mileage regardless of how you drive it -
particularly for an AWD 270Hp car. Like most AWD cars
it is hard on tires. Expect to get about 15,000kms out of
a set of tires with a wear rating of 140.
Fun Factor: lets just say it can get you in trouble pretty
easy.
Without a doubt this car has got to be the best winter
driving machine out there. With 4 wheel traction control,
limited slip, and active torque mapping, electronic brake
force distribution and the yaw sensor to allow the car to
adjust for understeer and oversteer automatically - you
have no excuse to not keep 'er between the ditches.

There aren't too many things I don't like about this car. Awesome acceleration, great handling, and great brakes. The ride is firm for aggressive driving but doesn't beat you up on long drives. Pluses on the GT model like heated leather seats and mirrors make this car comfortable on long drives, but the seats aren't quite as gripping as the Speed3 or competitors seats so aggressive driving may throw you around a bit. The AWD is awesome in the snow. However, Mazda equips this car with Potenzas, which under no circumstances should be used in snow. If you live in an area that has "wintry" conditions, you're going to need to invest in a set of winter tires.Apr 02, 2008

We needed a second car, due to a longer commute. The car had to be good
for freeway commuting, and it had to be fun to drive. Our car also needed to
have adequate space for passengers. I mention this, because our other choice
was an RX-8, which while good to drive, isn't the best passenger carrying car.
Mazda clutches are pretty nice, although the Speed6 has an extra kick. Some
say that the clutch on this model is hard to deal with, but I've had no trouble.
The only downsides to the car is that: 1) true to Mazda form, sound insulation
isn't as solid as I'd like, and 2) the gas mileage is about 22mpg. However,
considering that the RX-8 is only 18 or so, I guess this isn't bad. Apr 02, 2008

I just bought a 07 speed6 and have driven it 2000 miles[total miles now 16500]. After ideling I sometimes get oil smoke for the first few seconds after take off.
