2006 Dodge RAM SRT-10 Reviews, Pricing & Specs
Write a review
With a stronger frame, exterior and interior styling refinements, and optional navigation and DVD systems, the Dodge Ram SRT-10 got primarily cosmetic changes for 2006. And it makes sense, considering that you can't add much more to an 8.3 L, 500 hp V10 standard engine. This extra-powerful truck comes in two trims: Quad Cab and Base.
The Base has 6 speed manual transmission and the Quad Cab has 4 speed automatic. On the down side, gas mileage for the Base comes out to 9 mpg in the city and 15 on the highway, 9 and 12 for the Quad Cab. Max towing capacity for the Quad Cab comes out to 7500 lbs.
Overall, the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 gets its biggest accolades for its sheer power, comfortable interior, and good handling. On the other hand, this extra strong domestic pickup guzzles gas like nobody's business. In the end, if you can live with constant trips to the gas station in your pursuit of the most horsepower, the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 fits the bill to a T.
