Not much changed for the Cadillac Escalade EXT in 2006. With elements of a pickup and an SUV, the EXT comes in one trim: the Crew Cab AWD SB. This crossover will remind drivers of the Chevy Avalanche with an even more innovative design.
The Escalade EXT uses a 6.0 L, 345 hp V8 engine with 4 speed automatic transmission. Gas mileage comes out to 13 mpg in the city and 17 on the highway. The lone trim has 4 doors, seats 5, and comes with standard air conditioning, power door locks, power windows, power/leather seats, cd player, ABS brakes, traction control, and stability control. Options include navigation system and sunroof. As for power and passenger room, the 2006 Escalade EXT gives you plenty of both with 7500 lbs. towing capacity and 120 cubic feet, respectively.
Owners generally agree that the 2006 Escalade EXT resembles a prospective trophy wife: smooth and beautiful, but unaccessible unless you have some money to burn. As with the other vehicles in the Escalade franchise, this vehicle consumes gas like nobody's business. I love the way the truck looks. You can tell its a Cadillac by the way it rides and the standard features that comes with it. The removable, 3 piece rear cover makes it easy to carry items in the bed without them getting wet. Don't be fooled into thinking because it's an Escalade it's not a real truck. It's a real truck that can haul 2,500 lbs & tow 9,500 lbs! I truly love this truck & I'll be buying a newer one soon.Nov 07, 2013
