I love my GLI its the best car I've owned to date, its really fast and fun to drive it handles really Good, i got it for under $10000. I love Volkswagen i haven't had any issues with it. The stock rims 18" BBS are awesome as well as the recardo racing seats give it a real racing car feel. The 1.8 turbo engine with the 6 speed manual transmission make It really smooth and run effortlessly even in high speeds. Still have stock don't find a need to tune it. Love this car and will also buy the Golf R32 soon. I love Volkswagen!Nov 01, 2012

I am so biased! I love this car. It is now 5 years old. It still looks great! I have had a bit of mechanical troubles...the car was preowned and in an accident, so I don't know how much of my troubles have to do with that! It sounds awesome when you start it up. It drives smooth and handles well. I often drive 130 km/hr and more. It corners well. It is a 6 speed manual transmission. Interior has many brushed stainless accents. Recaro seats are comfortable. Interior dash lights are red and blue. Trunk space is amazing for such a small car. I have room for 2 sets of golf clubs and more. A couple of years ago, I got a bike and all the luggage needed for 3 days away for 2 adults and 2 young kids in the trunk. I cannot say enough great things about this car. Oh, one thing that doesn't look so great right now is the ground effects in the front. Because it is low to the ground, it is easy to hit speed bumps, steep rises or declines in driveways, etc. It looks great before you hit something, then it needs to get fixed. Wheels and tires look awesome (18"), but tires expensive to replace. Jun 13, 2010

Well, I absolutely loved this car. It has paddle shifters on the steering wheel, tip tronic shifting and all the get up and go a girl needs. The leather seats were wonderful in the summer and winter. The car handled perfect and was tight to the road. I felt I could race the Indy 500 and be racing in luxery. Now for the downside. The air conditioning to a DUMP!!! The car was never fixed after 3 attempts I gave up. The car was never the same again. So sad. It had great potential.Jun 12, 2010

in performance I will say stock it was sporty and fun. with the add-ons it was very fun. with just exhaust intake and APR software it bumped up the power from 180hp to 240hp and almost 300ft/lbs of torque. not to mention stock bilstein shocks and sport springs for excellent handling. in appearance it was almost perfect. stock 18in. BBS wheels, stock Votex lip kit. Recaro seats and aluminum interior trim. it was damn near perfect. Cost was a factor. being a german car everything for it was expensive. the cheapest real mod done to the car was the $220 diverter valve. but on the bright side with the tuning done and with reasonable driving I scored almost 35mpg and when running full force on 20psi of boost it got a reasonable 17mpg. and finally the fun factor...you could be in the worst mood possible and get in this car and as soon as you've started going your troubles are gone. whether you like cruising. drag racing, track racing, or even top end runs. this car is ready to impress.Feb 11, 2010

I love this car!! It is the best car I have ever owned. The bucket seats inside are so sassy. This is what my car looks like except I have a spoiler, moon roof and my tint is darker. I don't have one on this computer so I choose one online. Same color and everything though. This is the last year where the body stayed this way and now the Jetta looks like crap. So I am so happy that I have VW's best!!May 08, 2008

I recently bought this car in a 5 speed semi-auto. The car came with a GIAC racing ECU and a diverter valve. After I put a short RAM on the beast, the car was nearly untouchable. Not only is this car FAST, cops do not expect it to be fast either. The Recaro seats are fantastic. The BBS wheels are so sexy, but can be a pain to clean. I wash my car everyday and treat it as if it were one of my children. May 06, 2008
