water on floor of back passenger side
I have 04 cts with water in back passenger side, where is the ac drain plug located? Many say plugged drain plug can cause this.

Write a reviewThe biggest update for the Cadillac CTS in 2004 came with the introduction of the CTS-V, a beefed-version of the original equipped with a 5.7 L, 400 hp V8 engine. In addition, drivers had the option to upgrade to a 3.6 L, 255 hp V6 powertrain. Otherwise, the CTS retains the same general features in its second year of production. The standard 3.2 L, 220 hp V6 comes with standard 5 speed manual transmission and optional 5 speed automatic.
In terms of fuel consumption, expect to get 18 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. This car has 1 trim that sports 4 doors, seats 5, and offers standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power/leather seats, cd player, ABS brakes and traction control. Options include stability control, navigation system, and sunroof.
Overall, the CTS gets props for a roomy interior, capable powertrain, and unique, angular look. On the other hand, the drive feels a little clunky and the interior design could use some work. Think of the 2004 CTS as a decent domestic sport sedan and it won't disappoint.

I love this car and really can't believe how quick it is. I've tied six Mustang GT's in drag racing. It has great styling. I love the wood grain shifter and steering wheel. It was soft in the corners before I added aftermarket front and rear sway bays.Nov 11, 2013

As I stated in the above ratings I give the car a 99% ok and do recommend it for other people to buy. I think this is the best car caddy has made in a the last 2 decades. initally, i should have went home and thought twice; the engine pulls alittle, but maybe it needs to be serviced. Cadallac is still an old man's car (as far reputation) so,people respect it but if your under 30; no kids; look else where. the car does impress and since im considering face to face sales. i wanted to look the part. Performance is great. Rear wheel is always fun. Great acceleration and Handling
No problems Mechanically.
Gas mileage isn't great unless on a long trip going atleast 70.
Very fun to drive.

We've had it for two years and have not had a single problem with it. It's only needed normal maintenance (oil/filter changes) and I had to change a bulb :D Great looking and super reliably vehicle. I recommend it to anyone!Dec 07, 2011

1. comfortable seating
2. great add ons - bose system and other accessories.
3. handling is 10/10 - a very safe car to be honest.
4. no need for synthetic oil or high grade octane stupid expensive stuff.

Very enjoyable car. Gets close to 25 mpg on the interstate. Very quick
car and also drives very smooth. Tops out at 140 and has a sporting

gooood car, build decently, great straight line power, and handling is sufficent aswell. looks good and many modifications can be done. some parts can be procey through gm or cadillac, but a lot of parts can be sawpped for aftermarket parts, overall i rate this car 7.5/10Aug 23, 2009

The car is not to expensive and it really gets up and goes when u need it to. Fairly good gas mileage. The interior is very nice as well as the sound system hits pretty good. I believe it has a 10-12" sub in the back that really its when u crank it upMay 14, 2009

Well this car was an impulse buy. Like so many of mine. I really like the power of the V6, 263 horsepower. The handling is amazing. I love the interior. The outside is cool, but it would be better to have a two door. The mileage could be better. 23.5 average and 26 highway. For a V6 it could be better. I love the black. The winter driving in this car sucks. I wish It had all wheel drive, and heater seats. Overall I like the car, but I wish I had a cheaper sports car instead.Jan 23, 2009

The performance of my 2004CTS is outstanding. It provides a tight responsive drive feel and is without a doubt , dollar for dollar a great value. My only negative comment is on the paint. The front of the vehicle is showing signs of the road. Rock chips seem to multiple quickly.Jun 27, 2008

An amazing balance --- very quick, yet runs on regular and gets 27 mpg highway at 70 mph. Finally some engineering from the US (and GM yet) which is world class --- the automatic transmission has no delay in shifts, and yet is very smooth. This one is really a family car, but at one point it was mine, and all my friends on here have probably seen me driving this as much as anything...
The car has the 3.6 vvt and as Chris Wirth on here will say it would keep up with his 06 mustang quite well until 65ish. Handling is decent, good feedback, but the tires we have on it right now are weaksauce, that and theres a touch to much body roll for a "sport" package car. The Bose system however is great, and it is a comfy way to get around town. The problems (all covered under warrenty) included a whining rear end, and brakes that warp to easily (been resurfaced at the dealer three times in 50k miles).

2004 cts w/3.6 l . The gas guage and tempurature guage dont work. My theft alert light stays on and i have to cancel it on radio info screen also i think my suspesion pump stopped working . is it possible they are all caused by the same thing ? if so what ??? If Anyone has any ideas i sure would appreciare it . ( i read the one about resetting the e prom and am going to try it .) Thank You Scott

2004 Caddillac CTS 3.6 Oil burning
My cts is having a problem with burning oil and its burning quickly I have to add 2qts every 4 days. I've taken it to Caddillac and they said the engin looks great and they don't know where the problem is. My cts has around 120,000 miles on it and the past owners took great care of it. Had it in the shop for everything and had the routine maintenance up-to- date. Also they said for me to clean the PCV Valve and I can't find one on it.

Help with cadillac 2004 cts shaking
I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS that I got from my dad I usually have work done on it by a local mechanic but recently I got ripped off so now I'm trying to find out what exactly is wrong with it so I can purchase what I need to have it done wherever. When it is hooked up to a reader it's coming up a miss fire in cylinder one and i dont know what i do for that. What i do know is the car shakes horribly. Any advice?
