The 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS is a little peppy car with a manual transmission. Without it, though is a dog. Overall it is a great car very good on gas since its a four cylinder. Its exterior like always on the Eclipse is very well designed and made. It comes with a spoiler and a sunroof. The bucket seats inside are very comfortable. Even though with minor back seats they are comfortable. The hatchback gives plenty of room. All in all this FWD vehicle is fun but is not in the same league as its predecessor.

I never realized how much I liked it until it was gone. I would've preferred the GT with a v6 instead of the 4 cylinder but it was still a pretty fun car to drive. It was a 5 speed manual also which made it all the more fun. I never ran into any problems with it. The car looked beautiful too.

Great acceleration, braking and handling Just bought it so hasn't needed any repairs but seems to be in great condition Has costum black and blue interior with an ice blue paint job Gas is just like it is on any V6 This car is loads of fun

the performance is so so it accelerates to 60 in about 7 or 8 secounds brakes are really good and the handeling is terrific. the car has overall not had any repairs except the filler tube, which was rusted out. i love the apperance of the car and would suggest the car to a friend

Sexy little red car is fun to drive on the highway and gets fantastic gas mileage (especially for a V6). Really responsive acceleration This is NOT a family car, you can't safely put anyone larger than a toddler in the back seats. Great cargo space for stowing suitcases for road trips.

well for the stock 3.0l v6 it performs better than expected.gear ratio is wide.which i personally like. 76mph in 2nd gear is pretty sweet.i like the stance of the car and how wide the wheels are.the build quality is nice as far as body and engine.but the int plastics are cheap.

I absolutely love this car. Its accelearation and braking are excelent. The handling is decent, new suspension would be a must for any enthusiast. The quality is great, very reliable, no surprise from mitsubishi. I think the exterior and interior are both amazing. It can be a little pricy, as far as gas mileage goes it really depends on how you drive it, it can be one of the best or the worst on gas. The tires can also be pretty expensive with stock low profile 17's. This car is amazingly fun to drive, never a dull moment

Great first car had great power brakes sucked but can be dealt with handling was just fine, great looks gas mileage was awesome overall a very fun car to drive whether it be a vacation or one of those nights you feel like taking a drive

I Dont Like Some things for instance- -It has Front Wheel Drive -It is only a five speed -I hate falling in and crawling out, cause its Too Small I Like -Cornering -Good Acceleration 5.2 0-60 On Minimal Modifications -Really nice Sound -Gear Box Is so smooth

For the life of me, I can't figure out why this car depreciates so quickly. An excellent condition 2003 Eclipse will only run you about $10-$13k. Small wear-and-tear problems will drive that price down quickly. This is a great, fun, and exciting little car. Very good for a first-car, in fact. I have had the car for 3 years now, the car is 6 years old, and the only problems in its entire history are replacing the brake pads (probably my fault...) and a leaky coolant hose, which cost me about 60 dollars to repair. Beyond that, no problems at all with anything. I highly recommend this car in a manual transmission. The 5-speed is easy and smooth, and a great car for first-time manual drivers. I should know, I was one :) First time ever driving a stick was the test drive. Second time was off the lot that same day, I loved it so much. The only downsides to this car is its top-end power and perhaps the interior amenities. Below about 3300 RPM the car is a bit sluggish. Okay, it's VERY sluggish... But if you can keep the revs up in your shifting, the car has enough get-up-and-go for anything you may need (passing, quick acceleration, etc). The interior is very "plastic wasteland" though, somehow (unlike a lot of American inexpensive cars) it does manage to look tasteful, in spite of its cheap materials. Visibility is good in all places except for the rear corners. Just take a quick glance over your shoulder to double check what your mirrors are telling you, and you'll be fine. The WORST problem with the car, however, is the hideous understeer when keeping speed through a corner. Absolutely monstorous...but then again it is a front-wheel drive car, so how much are you gonna ask for it anyway? 99% of the time this is not an issue...I've only spun the car once, and that's because I was deliberately driving crazily at 11 PM on a deserted road :) Yes, I was going way too fast. But enough about me... Great little car, inexpensive, easy to drive (manual), VERY fun to drive, good audio system...go buy one now :)

Awesome Performance, breathtaking appearance, good on gas, and LOADS of fun to drive.... Just watch you don't bottom out as the front end is both lower and wider than it feels

Awesome car and totally reliable. Never had any problems. Was a four banger but preformed and kept up with the six cylinders. A cheaper car to own too, was fuel efficient and very fun to drive. Was very flashy and caught everyones eye. I would deffinately buy the car again if the oppertunity arose.

2.4 Liter 4 cylinder DOHC is not a lot of power but for the size of the car it has a lot of pep. Fun to drive and handles like a drem.

It all depends on how many owners, and well taken care of over the years. Get your service records and dates, and make sure its been maintained. If you see a bunch of rust spots under the frame or in the engine, leave it alone. Alos, rust deposits could be in the fuel pump, from how old the car could be, if its low miles and looks like poo, do not fall for it.

Fast strong and reliable. Its a great looking car. Unfortunately it is only a 4 cyl. Would be a lot cooler if it were a V8 or V6. But this does help with fuel economy and pick up. Can hit 100+ miles per hour easily.

Good acceleration. It has techtronic, which makes it a fun automatic or manual trans. the high speed feel of the car is great. it handles very well at all speeds and in any weather. Mine has a nice stock Spoiler. VERY NICE!

well i totalled this one too, flipped it due to some drunk deer in the road. i bought this car brand new in late 2002 and only had it for a year. loved the color and all the little options it had like a 7 disk cd, steering wheel controlls, and overall designs

handles great for what it is a front wheel drive car that can get around in the snow and still beat v8 mustangs. mine is black with bright blue lights. it has a sound system in it that isn`t loud anymore

Acceleration is good for engine size which makes it fun to drive. Does pretty decent on gas. Mine has a LOT of miles for a 2003, and so the suspension has a lot of squeaks. The interior is a little bit plastic-y feeling, but overall nice for the price you pay. Overall good car.

i love the car and everything about it....and also the performance of it i love it and it handles great i think...im glad i have bought the eclipse..its a fun car to drive..but the one thing id like change is the 2nd cup holder postion when u have anothr cup in the 2nd cup holder it sorta gets in the way when u shift...

Interior & Exterior: nice curve, the whole car looks kinda chuppy :p but it's cute! Outstanding Brake system. Acceleration: cuz of the weight of the car, even with 210 of base hp, still kinda slow. Overall : I like my car :D try to make it cuter now hehe

i really liked this car, it was my brothers but i got to drive it a couple of times, it doesnt turn heads anymore but it did when it first came out, haha!

Love the sporty look. Fun to drive and no major problems. Had one in the past. Miss it!

I have really put a lot of effort into my car. Needs some work now but overall I love it. Custom painted interior, double den indash touch-screen dvd player, new speakers and subwoofers. And now I just need to put in the new stage 2 clutch

I really like the car, it turns heads for sure. It's not the fastest car on the block and the 6 cylinders are harder to boost. If you want a straight-line car that can get under 14s without putting out much cash, stick with a Mustang or other rear-wheel drive car. If you're looking for something to take some corners, shell out the grand or two and you'll be set.

Its a drivers car not much room for other people. Fun to drive every day. You can tell the care was built around the driver. Eats more gas then cars with same engin size but not too bad. The car is kinda long for my taste.I put a body kit on mine...not a good idea.

Performance: accelerates and shifts wonderfuly as well as braking and handling. Build Quality: Needs a few minor adjustments repairs. Appearance: Some touch up on the both inside and outside tyle Cost of Ownership: gas mileage is awesome as well as the maintenance Fun Fact: Kicks butt at drifting awesome

Ithought i already went through this before. well any ways i liked my old eclipse except for the constant mechanical problems i had with less than 30,000 miles on it. firstit was the air conditioning( factory recall) then it was the master cylinder,then the master cylinder again and some partwhich i dont recall anymore.

unless lowered, taking corners at fast speed is not recommended
