I enjoyed the cars trim, ride, and handling. Seat was a bit snug for my frame, pick up on freeway just adequate. Reminded me most of a Subaru Outback I recently drove.Aug 04, 2021

A really great car that is fund to drive. It is very reliable and rides well. The cost of ownership is low. We've keep thorough records and always used the top oil for maintenance. I highly recommend this car to everyone.Mar 08, 2011

Questa macchina fa paura, potrebbe sembrarvi una normale macchina , ma questa è una volvo, intanto sicurezza massima, e poi tira tranquillamente i 215 all'ora, uno spettacolo. Il motore turbo quando entra in funzione da una spinta che ti aiuta a raggiungere i 200.Jul 04, 2009

2002 Volvo v40 reliability
I am looking at buying a 2002 Volvo v40 with 160,000 miles on it for 2,800. It needs rear brakes, catalytic converter, eventually the main seal and rear coils. Are these cars reliable or am I going to get into trouble with it. I have only owned Hondas which I have never had issues with, but I don't know anything about newer volvos. I did notice a sweet smell coming in through the heater vents whwe drove it, and dark milky stuff under the oil cap , but the garage he took it to said it was just condensation.
