I have a 162k on a - maintained Disco - it's gone the last 40k miles w/o issues other than regular maintenance. First change on the head gaskets was @ 85k miles. Rover shop quote on head gaskets (if it is worth it) $3800 min. There are 2 rover shops and a dealership in my area and all are comparable. Fix? New engine an option? or call it. Thanks!
Need a little help. Engine will turn over sporadically. One minute it is fine and the next time it wont start or stall when sitting in idle at a light. There ore no codes when scanning. Fuel pump is working and pumping gas. I have previously replaced in the past 6 months the fuel pump and crank shaft sensor. Disco has run with no problems until recently. Any ideas would be appreciated.
