For a car thats over 20 years old, people who see it think its a newer car. While it doesnt have all the newest technology, it have just enough, and somethings that even more modern cars do not. Like being able program for yourself a new key fob, or your tpms, etc. Driving this car is a dream, and in my case a dream come true. I was comparing this car against a Chrysler crossfire SRT6 a Porsche Boxster s and a BMW Z4 coupe.the only car that came remotely close was the Porsche.the Chrysler was wicked quick but it drove horribly over pavement and the build quality wasn’t there.the bmw was awesome handled great but wasn’t super quick but was great looking.the Porsche was awesome handled amazing was quick great manual transmission great sounding 6 yet having owned a Porsche I knew how much it wouid cost to maintain correct and that’s a small fortune.the corvette was by far the best all around vehicle.very fast handles great great looking very reasonable cost of ownership and tons of modifications that you could do that wouldn’t break the bank.it really is the quintessential sports car.I’ve owned 50 cars only my Ferrari 328 I had back 20 years ago was better all around outside of maintenance.also drive it halfway normal and you’ll approach 30 mpg highway.not bad for a 4.7 second to 60 pre mod sports car Dec 23, 2021

The car I was shown was in no way the car that was advertised!! This car was in terrible condition...clear coat was gone, all paint was fading and dull...targa top had a 2 inch crack in it above the passenger door...right rear rim had about a 6 inch bad curb scrape on it... Corvette emblem was half gone on the rear... engine ran rough... all the aluminum components under the hood were pitted and appeared to be salt water corroded...tires had very little tread left (probably wouldnt pass an inspection)… A lot of the rubber trim around doors and windshield were rotting/ cracking....I discovered all this in about 10 minutes so pretty sure I could have found more... Great vehicle. Though being taller than average, any sports car was difiicult to fit. The vet provides more leg and head room than any other sports care i tried.
Car has fantastic handleing and power.

Parts are a little pricey but I knew that before hand so it's fine. Fuel economy is excellent for a high performance car and the different modes for traction control are exceptional. Steering is responsive as well as the acceleration. Extremely comfortable to drive, takes a little effort to get in and out of. Other than that I love this car and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great performance car at a decent price.Jul 31, 2012

For the price of a new cheapo Honda or Toyota you can have a car that will do 0 - 60 in 4.5 seconds, hit 170 MPH top end, get 32 MPG on the highway and carry 25 cubic feet of cargo. There's nothing else like it for the moneyMar 08, 2012

The performance of this car is outstanding. I have modified mine to perform even better with a few simple bolt ons. The B&B Bullet exhaust brought the car to life. It is one of the deepest, fullest sounding exhausts on the market and gave it an old school muscle car sound. Vettes are fairly cheap to own. Gas mileage is amazing, 20-24 around town and 30-36 on trips! Im not joking. It's geared perfectly to do this. You can find C5 Corvettes for under 20 grand, so it's the best performance car you could think of buying on the cheap.Aug 21, 2010

The performance id outstanding. IMO the hardtop C5 is better looking than any C6 model. It is expensive to fix, but most work can be done if your halfway handy. Car is a blast to drive, gets lots of looks where ever I go.Nov 08, 2009

Contrary to what anyone says, THIS American car really drives! Handling is AT LEAST as good as a Boxster, it looks loads better, it sounds much better and it goes... my god, does it go! Corvettes are silly fast (especially the manuals) in standard form, so the new Z06 and ZR1 are utterly incredible!
